Another very info packed Cross Fire!! It's sickening to hear of the continued b.s. Mack pulls such as a lack of an endorsement for Strong. Mack got his way and ran off Saban, is getting paid to do nothing, and can't endorse Strong? Seriously?

Aggie info doesn't surprise me at all regarding Sumlin or the illegal activities. Proving it will be tough as the NCAA couldn't find their ass in a mirrored phone booth with a flashlight.

I'm not sure why you took offense to that post. Maybe you're thinking of the tiny airport but Easterwood has two parts. One for smaller private planes and another for small commercial airline flights. I've taken more than a few flights from there. I was just pointing out that despite a post on this thread we do have an airport.

Sure it's no bergstrom but we don't really need one do we?

Id imagine that Easterwood is primed to grow pretty soon with the bio corridor coming up.

McPhaul that statement about Sumlin is a lie. I don't know who fed you that info, but I would get rid of them as a source.

McPhaul is correct. What you think is the real story is just damage control by A&M's PR dept. to cover how much Sumlin sought the USC job. Alabama put out similar spin to mask Saban's negotiations with Texas.

I'm partners with a huge Aggie BMD who privately admitted that Sumlin badly sought the USC job, and the Ag hierarchy believed in late October that he was gone. What the Ags didn't know was that USC didn't share Sumlin's level of interest. As USC continued its search, Sumlin became anxious that his pursuit of the Trojan job would leak to the press, and sought assurance from the USC AD that he was their leading candidate. When informed he wasn't, Sumlin quietly retreated and immediately accepted a raise from A&M before the public learned how eagerly he had pursued USC.

Not hard to believe, sumlin made a name off of a freshman heisman storytell even tho he knew he was doomed since he was still in the SEC and at a university that isnt a flagship program. He probly thought why not see if he can get a job at one of the best jobs in the country where he would be at a flagship program.

Sorry, but why would he agree to a contract with a 5 million dollar buyout for the first 3 years if he wanted to get the hell out ASAP? The details don't match all of these anonymous Aggie BMD sources that everybody comes up with in these situations, especially given that Sumlin has turned down an offer to coach for the Philadelphia Eagles already. Also, we have illegal recruiting allegations in this Crossfire, the contract has stated that Sumlin must "actively look for red flags of potential violations" (USA Today) or face termination. If details come out about illegal recruiting he risks his career by not accepting another offer, any offer, but instead he agreed to an extension. As I have said before, A&M is aware of rogue boosters and have let these guys know that the behavior is unacceptable. Texas boosters were given the same warning by Dodds and Powers in response to some allegations that reached the top. I'll be interested to see if this case has to do with one or multiple of these A&M boosters that did things completely under the table or if it is in response to a bidding war (Jamal Adams). Hey Watson, who is your Aggie BMD friend? Are you willing to reveal his name, because nobody else seems to give theirs up.
