Two of our members achieved perfection in last week’s pick’em games. Let’s see who rises up to meet that this week.

This week, conference title contenders will begin eliminating each other with some games having direct effect on the CFP, too. It should be an exciting Saturday.

Once again, we have college football on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week. Friday night features a pair of games that should be pretty good (UCLA vs Wash) (Houston vs Arizona).

And now, on to this week’s games:

#23 Clemson (7-2) at #19 Pitt (7-2)

Utah (4-5) at #20 Colorado (7-2)

Syracuse (6-3) at California (5-4)

#15 LSU (6-3) at Florida

Boston College (5-4) at #13 SMU (8-1)

Nebraska (5-4) at USC (4-5)

Baylor (5-4) at West Virginia (5-4)

#24 Missouri (7-2) at South Carolina (6-3)

#7 Tennesse (8-1) at #3 Georgia (7-2)

Wake Forest (4-5) at North Carolina (5-4)

Tiebreaker – Guess the score for #3 Texas (8-1) at Arkansas (5-4)

That Tennessee v Georgia game, who do we want to loose more? I guess Tennessee?
We win out we are in regardless. If Tennessee wins they are in as well. A Georgia loss knocks them out. I guess it depends on who you would rather play against in the title game if it came down to it.

I dont understand the tie breakers that well but it might be Tennessee we face in title game even if Tennessee loses to Georgia. Tenn beat Bama, Georgia beats Tenn, Bama beat Georgia. Makes my head spin!

We just need to win the next 3 and knock the ags out.

I'm not sure it matters. If we win out and sit at one loss, we're going to play a 2-loss team in the CCG. If Tennessee wins out, then it would be a Texas-Tennessee CCG. Both having one loss going in.

Heuple is still a Sooner so I tend to root against those types. lol

Clemson - this is an elimination game. Pitt hasn't played a team in the top 25. Dabo needs this one or he may start feeling a little heat.

Colorado - Once upon a time, the Utes were the favorite to win the Big 12. Now it's Prime's time.

Syracuse - Watch out, this dog still has some bite to it.

LSU - The Bayou Bengals have suffered 2 spankings in a row. Surely, they won't make it 3 in a row to a team that is struggling to go bowling.

SMU - Keeping the dream alive.

Nebraska - the Huskers have lost 3 straight and give the OC to Holgorsen. They need 1 more win to be bowl eligible and this is the easiest game they have left. I'm picking the upset.

West Virginia - 2 mediocre teams looking to become bowl eligible. If not now, then when? Going with the home dog.

South Carolina - The Gamecocks play better on the road, but the paper Tigers can't keep up on the field and get eliminated from the CCG and CFP.

Georgia - No way Kirby's team losses 2 in a row. A loss here and they'll need the polls to keep them alive for CFP hopes.

North Carolina - Mack Brown's team gets bowl eligible

Tiebreaker – Texas 24 - Arkansas 21

Arkansas isn't great a creating pressures. Outside of Landon Jackson they are relatively limited in the front 7. They are also highly susceptible in the defensive backfield, basically having an open competition during the bye week.

I think Texas can give Quinn time and he should have another high level performance.

Texas Specific Predictions:

Offense:
Quinn > 325 passing yards - Arkansas has a very porous defensive backfield and lack multiple pass rushers. Texas likely to lean on the passing game early and often and Quinn and Sark should dice up this defense.

Gunnar Helm >100 yards - Poor DB play and LBs that don't cover well will create lots of opportunities for Helm to pick up some big gains while the DBs struggle to keep up with the WRs.

Defense:
3 or more turnovers created - Arkansas loves to fumble the ball (2.5 fumbled balls a game) and both QBs are prone to throw Ints. Texas has been great at causing turnovers this year and that should continue this week.

3 or more sacks - Arkansas gives up a lot of pressures and sacks, and especially if forced into obvious passing downs or game situations, our front 7 should be able to get over the QBs. Despite being an athletic runner, Green gets sacked quite often.

Pretty competitive week for the motley crew this week. Three posters tied for first place honors with 2 misses each – Bctex1106, BruiseLee and DMac all had two misses.

With the tiebreaker, BCtex1106 emerges as our victor with the closest poinit differential of the three. Ccngratulations Mr Bctex! The new steak knives, made of titanium and rubber, will be arriving soon!
