Common Man Prediction Thread – UT vs LA-MONROE

After careful consideration, I have decided to predict the Horns will win this game…by ALOT.

Also, we might learn a little about this team in the process, but I think we will learn more about this team in the Alabama game.

I remain cautiously optimistic for this season.  At the same time, to quote other esteemed posters, “we suck until we don’t”.

And so we're carrying on the tradition of a members prediction thread. This year we start off with the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

The Warhawks are not a good team. They went 4-8 last year (2-6 in conference) but did upset Liberty. I don't think they're any better this year so if we're struggling at home against this team, we're in a bad place.

Fortunately, I don't think it goes that way. In fact, I think it goes Texas' way in big time fashion, . . . . the stars will shine.

Texas 52

UL-MON 13
If we give up 13 points to this team it will be considered a loss and PK should be immediately fired.  Ul-Mon is one of the worst college teams in the last 30 years.

70 US

3 Them

Edit: I read the scouting report and ULM is worse than I thought...I updated my prediction to reflect that...

as much as everyone wants to see Sark let the dogs loose, I think he plays it conservatively so as not to give Alabama any useful game film...the defense may score on a couple of TO's and I think they will have # 5 stuffed down their throat for about 20 carries or 200 yds, whichever comes first, special teams may also score some points...I think he will also want to see if #3 can execute the game plan and not turn the ball over....nothing more than a scrimmage in real time with live ammo

No, they're not very good at all. But they have an experienced QB who has some moxie. They're going to roll him out a lot to evade our rush.

We'll crush them but I wouldn't totally discount them as a team.

I think Texas will do just fine and come out with the DUB.  I am looking for improvement in all aspects of the game from last year and more importantly NO injuries!!!!  Keep a healthy team for the next week!!!
