SignUp Now!I'm fixing to post some defensive numbers on the Texas Discussion thread.I hope our defense don’t make their QB like Tom Brady. If Texas handles business I think it’s like a 38-7 type of win
Horns 27
Baylor 13
Never get a full set of knives this way, but that's okay, I need all the help I can get. LolI predict whatever Billybass says.![]()
Actually like what dssl said, but I'll go with Texas 27 bu 13
This feels like a trap. Sure they haven't played well and look like a wounded bear, but you know they have been preparing for this game like no other.
Texas 24 baylor 17.
Haha updated mine so we have no duplicates.Never get a full set of knives this way, but that's okay, I need all the help I can get. Lol
1. I’m 3-0 by not picking!! LolAgree with Drb on this one.
Does Baylor typically run a 3-high or is this just for Texas?Baylor will lean hard into the 3 high safety approach. This defense disguises coverage pre-snap very effectively and with 3 safeties, it is hard to pass deep. It also appears to be a defense that is inviting the run against a light box but when the safeties crash down quickly in the alley, outside runs easily lose their numbers advantage and are limited for short gains.
I think Baylor will run this approach and hope to get Texas in 3rd and long and then bring exotic blitzes to get sacks.
To combat this, I expect sark to run the ball early out of power personnel packages (2 tight ends, 6 OL package). This was the successful pivot against Wyoming. If this forces Baylor to commit defenders to the run, they are susceptible to the deep ball. If not, Baxter and Brooks should eat all day.
I don't see much of a path for Baylor and Sawyer Robertson to put together more than 3 scoring drives on this Texas defense. He might be the least dangerous QB we have faced so far.
Texas goes for >200 yards rushing with at least 1 100 yd rusher
Texas defense secures 2 ints
Special teams secures the blocked kick or return this week
Texas 42- Baylor 13
I do like your prognosis, doc, but I sure hope we break our tendency to make bad quarterbacks look like Heisman contenders.Baylor will lean hard into the 3 high safety approach. All true but will we win?lol1. Baylor sucks
2. Baylor is trash
3. F*** rape you
4. Baylor is terrible
5. Baylor likes Lincoln Riley's brisket
6. Baylor can eat shit
7. Baylor thinks ou does not suck
8. Baylor is a POS
9. Baylor is a trash university
10. Baylor still thinks Texas will be in the Big 12 in 2024.
Rod B keeps trumpeting how Baylor and Aranda use the amoeba front to confuse Sark and set the blueprint on how to slow down the Texas offense. Sark says screw that and the Horns win going away at 63-10.Does Baylor typically run a 3-high or is this just for Texas?
If the latter, then we've already pulled them out of their comfort zone. But as weak as their deep middle is, I understand why they would try it.
That's what they run. That seems to be the Big 12 defense of choice. I'm no expert... I guess the idea is that it takes away the ability (or makes difficult) for pre-snap reads. It seems to cause Ewers difficulty.Does Baylor typically run a 3-high or is this just for Texas?
