Clarington apparently cleared by the NCAA (waiting on Texas?)

FWIW, Higs not optimistic on this, at all.
Is Higs one of the guys who grades the ACT? Just curious on what new info could possibly have surfaced since the last updates we have received to necessitate a new commentary. You're just reporting what you see my friend, so no snarkiness directed at you!

He's either seen the test score or he hasn't. IMO, it's not a matter of optimism or pessimism. He either gets the score or he doesn't.

Perhaps Higgs isn't confident in Devo's ability to score high enough?

I've always heard the ACT was easier than the SAT.

I feel bad due to the fact that Devo probably hasn't prepared for the ACT the second time around. This test is something that most kids spend a decent amount of time studying for. Having to retake it this late in the game might put him at a real disadvantage.

Why does this site have a banner headline that the NCAA has denied Clarington eligibility if no one seems to know his actual status?

The headline is reflecting the NCAA's earlier announcement that Clarington isn't eligible yet. It's not a headline reflecting Clarington's most recent score.

Im not so sure thats totally bad. We need him asap but I dont know how fast they could have coached him up to play this year. Now his clock wont start until Jan if thats the case and he essentially just becomes a 2016 early enrollee. As long as he gets on campus one way or the other.

If he comes now, he won't play much, I suspect. If he waits until January, he will still have 5 to play 4.

While results are not official, doesnt sound good on the ACT

Still a good chance he makes it some day
