Says things are fluid right now. Supposed to have a morning update, prefaced by the info being "for better or worse".......

Saw that...I'm really curious as to what the heck he's going on with. I wish he hadn't put that out there right before I was about to go to sleep.

Just saw that. The fact that he used the term "for better or for worse" has me thinking the news won't be what we want to hear. If it was positive news I don't think he'd have used that wording. Hope I'm wrong.

He just said this in the thread.. I think Saban is still a possibility. And I still feel that way. The clarity must come on Texas' end.

Here are two of his posts in the thread:

"I wish it was that simple. There's some information I've been told that I thought was definitive. And then I got this text message: "Even off the record - No clarity on any front right now. All very, very fluid."

So I'm waiting for more clarity. And trust me, as soon as I know, you all will know."

"I've said I think Saban is still a possibility. And I still feel that way. The clarity must come on Texas' end."

I still think no one is in full control of this situation. Thats not a great thing.

So Texas has negotiated a conditional contract with Saban that contains a drop dead date for Texas to finalize the offer? Does that sound right?

I wish I knew what the effective date such a conditional contract would contain and how much $ Texas had to put into escrow to hold the option on Saban.

Well, "the clarity" IMO is the departure of MB. Until that happens, it is a situation that needs clarity. I'm not sure this is the issue its being made out to be. We all knew that the key to it all was Mack's departure. All the work put into getting Saban is nothing until Mack steps down.

I've been assured that's highly probable to happen this week.

This could also be another confused moment as we've seen a few of those lately there.

Thanks for the insight. I'm hoping I wake up and some good happens tomorrow.

I'm tired and I'm done letting Chip Brown steal my sleep.

Mack needs to get out and step down. He is being so selfish sticking around. I want Saban to be our coach so badly. Our businessmen (Hicks, etc.) need to be able to go try and get the best College Football Coach of all time.

It will be interesting to see what info he comes out with considering his sources. I'm ok if we don't get Saban (although I'd like to have him), I just want Mack Brown out. That dude has more than 9 lives.

Things are in motion right now and he's working to confirm some things but should have a report soon "for better or worse"

He's got to do some more confirming he says but he feels it will be a mutual parting of ways. Report should be up tomorrow.

Mack Brown's legacy will be ruined at Texas if he decides to stay and bring this program to the ground.
