Rice lost to ODU today. 2nd game fixing to start.

TCU beats Baylor and moves into the Big 12 Championship game. Will play the winner of Texas and Oklahoma State (Oklahoma State has to beat Texas twice). Of note, TCU did use their ace today in Finnigan. I expect Texas to also use Thornhill today so that he can rest for next week. OSU has already used most of its arms. Sunday will be a battle of bullpens.

Ferrell was ultra-efficient in the last 1.1. He only threw 17 pitches.

Winning the first game today is even more important than tomorrow's game from a big picture perspective. If Texas can advance by winning this game, then I think both the Horns & the Frogs treat Sunday's game fairly casually. Don't get me wrong, both teams want to win....but both also see Sunday's game through a different lens than fans do.
