This kid seems to have all of the tools to be an outstanding player. He's got speed, power, and a very good glove. For some reason, he just hasn't been able to hit for average this year. With our best hitter gone next year, it's my belief that he's gonna be the guy that needs to step it up.

Will be a very good hitter come his senior year. A little behind the 8 ball because he focused on football in high school. Had he spent more time on baseball he would be more progressed at the plate.

He's a candidate to slide over into CF when Payton moves on. It'll be interesting to see how that affects his overall game (if it happens).

Worry not, young Lukas.

Johnson will be fine. He's pressing a bit right now, as is Tres, on the big stage. They'll settle in, and when they do, watch out.

Because of his speed and athleticism, Johnson could move to CF next season.  Don't overlook Collin Shaw making the move to CF.  While he isn't the "burner" that Johnson is, he has good speed, has a better arm and I believe is a better defensive outfielder.  Also, I believe last year, Taylor Stell played some in CF.  He hasn't played this season, but is still on the roster, so I assume he is red-shirting.  He is another player who has demonstrated good defensive skill, while struggling at the plate.

Johnson really played well yesterday. Got on base thrice and really worked the pitcher, save the bases loaded DP. That guy has tons of potential. He's my dark horse for three hitter next year.

Watch for Patrick Mathis, he's a left handed stick with speed to spare..
