He needs to remove "Coach" from his signature. He's lost that privilege.

Wow doc, wanting to go into Pediatrics myself.... That's definitely a part of the job that I know will be tough going forward and I wish that, by that point, it will be much less common of a problem.
Working towards the betterment of children is a wonderful and rewarding profession.

But as callous as it sounds, you will rise above the emotional level and not let that interfere with your work.  You have to. But just remember, a good doctor cares.  Let that be your guiding thought.

Do you intend to do research?  And where do you want to practice?

Well, come on then, spill it  :)
That Switzer was married never seemed to mean anything to him.  Women threw themselves at him all of the time and the fact he was a philanderer was well known.  One of his coaches found that out the hard way.

Anyway, the story goes that a colleague of mine was in the Houston Hobby airport VIP lounge and Switzer, his wife and a couple of his kids were there as well.  Supposedly, my friend was with another friend and his wife, who was very attractive.  One thing led to another and when my friend went to the mens restroom, Switzer and his friends wife were banging each other in a stall.

This while his wife and kids were in the lounge no more than 50 feet away.

Proving that he is a sorry POS.

But that was the story.

there are some good, sensible comments in that article and in the comments below.  those folks restore some measure of faith that i thought for sure was dead and gone.

had people like those people been making the decisions at baylor the past decade or so things would surely be very, very different right now, today.

pity that place can't seem to learn.

I'll keep that in mind Doc, thanks.

Maybe clinical research... Not really one for lab work, though. I'm on scholarship with the Navy, so I'll be starting residency this month and practicing with the Navy for the foreseeable future, but then, hopefully, will make my way right back here to Texas. TCH would be a career-dream come true!

baylor's biggest problem now may be baylor.

we are seeing the response from many recruits and their families who were lied to by the baylor program.  now we are beginning to see the response from baylor alums and families who realize they were lied to, also.

Root cause of it all
yep.  zackly.

i think we can surmise that the report from that law firm contains information the present baylor leadership absolutely has to keep under wraps.  i think you will find that baylor, the people, are going to get such a stiff-arm from baylor, the school and football program, that it sours relations for a very long time.

the beauty here is the rank-and-file baylor person knows now not to trust baylor.  just like the recruits and their families and the coaches who developed those recruits.

the bloom is off the baylor bush.

Burn it to the ground, they should haven nuked the program and started over.  The Cancer is not gone and spreads way beyond a HC.

Burn it to the ground . . .  The Cancer is not gone
absolutely.  they cannot cut deep enough to remove the rot.  it's in the cake, not the icing.

kindest thing that could happen is for the death penalty to silence that program for half a generation.  then start it up again and see if it can be trusted.

back in the '80s, i think it was, there was a catholic school in cali that was a perennial favorite to vie for natty champ honors.  they got into serious, very embarrassing problems several times and the church out there simply pulled the plug.  great screeching and howling did no good whatever.  that church was serious.

years later they were back and don't vie for headlines anymore, to my knowledge.  but that church has a program it loves to watch play the game and they don't worry about what the program is doing in the dark.

no building of any merit ever had its foundation laid in the dark.

oh, absolutely.  the entirety of texas high school coaches has to be soaking this whole story in, not to mention players and their families.  i don't think baylor officials have any clue what they are doing to themselves.  this is really hard to believe.

He should just shut up!
i'm sure they are horrified this footage has made in onto the internet.  what an incredible look behind the curtain into the fetid world of pr, not to mention the fetid world of baylor administration.

no! no! just show the one answer as if he gave an honest response!!  we paid you, you creeps!

this whole country is getting an education.

you realize what this is all about.

starr is rehabbing his image, or supposed to be.  along the way he's dropping little turdlets of rehab for briles.  they think briles is taking a one-year sabbatical and will be back on the sideline next season.  that's why to keep the staff intact.
