Baylor point spread

You'd have to be the most naive person in the world to believe Mack Brown would ever "do the right thing."
When has Mack EVER "done the right thing."

Child please.

First of all, I ain't no child. I'm 55 and been around the program since I was born.

Secondly, you dig yourself in deep when you speak in absolutes and hyperbole.

Do you know Mack Brown? I do. Have you eaten with the him at a team dinner, as recently as this year? I have. I know him, he knows me. I can actually tell you, he in fact, always tries to do the RIGHT thing. It may turn out to be wrong in hidsight (Many Diaz) but he is a man of the highest character and morals. He has made decisions regarding the school and program that may have handicapped the team from a competitive standpoint but yet, was the RIGHT thing to do.

I do however recognize its time for him to retire. It has been for awhile. Th problem is he recognizes it has to be on a proper timetable. There are many variables that have to be considered. Recruiting, availability of the correct replacement, contractual considerations etc.

There are many people involved in working on the proper timetable and it will be well thought out and done RIGHT! It may not be to our liking or it may not satisfy our knee jerk reaction but it will be well thought out.

I love what Mack Brown has done for the University but the game and time have cought up to him. I only hope our next coach has as much integrity as Coach Brown. Wait, I know we will. At Texas we do things RIGHT!

It would be wise to listen to POCKEY. He knows what he's talking about.

Pockey...

Do you know him well enough to know how the off the field events of this season have affected him personally?

Well said, Pockey!

I just saw a line that UT is a 26 point dog. Just let that sink in for a minute. That is shameful and anyone who thinks we are remotely close to being good again is mistaken. This is going to be a major rebuilding job. Also I believe that Baylors's recruiting ranking the past few years is like 44. Wow just wow.
Man that is basket full of points to be getting considering as it stands now the game involves the top two teams in the standings. I think this shows the lack of depth in the Big 12 when a 2nd place team opens up as a 26 point dog against the first place team. I am curious, what is the largest point spread that Texas has been a dog?

I almost feel Baylor will put the brakes on to make Brown look better! All other teams except for Texas love Brown!
I hope you are kidding. It's pretty much universally known that Briles hates Texas. Secondly, he will be playing for BCS style points in all likelihood. This game will likely be historically ugly.

I think this is a false statement and a huge assumption. I have read this occasionally before.

Why do you think Briles hates Texas? Because he is the coach of a school who is suppose to be rivals with Texas?

I believe he wants to kick Texas ass every year, i hope thats what he wants to do.

OR maybe bc he choose Ou over Texas in 2008? Does that mean he loves Ou? No, he though Ou was a better team. So.

I dont think there is any basis of saying Briles hates Texas .

Stoops set the groundwork. Beat UT badly, embarrass them. It does wonders for recruiting, and it shields you from criticism by national media.

Nobody mentioned Stoops problems winning a bowl game, as long as he was beating Texas.

Briles will want to dominate Texas to put a hold on his recruiting. Especially with Texas getting a new coach.

Briles must beat Texas in a record-setting rout and Okla. St. by a wide margin (3 TDs or more) to have a chance jumping over Florida State on the BCS standings. An opportunity like this will be rare for Baylor. Briles should make the best of this season, run up the scores in the remaining games and hopefully impress enough voters to give his team the #2 BCS spot.

A nasty rout over Mack Brown will also help Texas in getting a new coach.
