The Big 12 is brutal this year. Staying above .500 will be a good accomplishment and probably came with an 8 or better seed. 8 or more teams will probably be in the tournament from the big 12.

A huge win today in that regard.

Whew, Texas decided to foul, up 3 with 3 seconds left to put TCU at the line in the single bonus. They missed the front end and Rice got another rebound. I think he grabbed the last 3 rebounds of the game to help seal the deal.
Sound coaching down the stretch.

No game thread….

is Hunter hurt or something?  He is in this game less than half the time, and when he’s in, he just doesn’t look like the same player I saw early in the season.

This team keeps battling every night. Would prefer they not continue to dig holes but they play with a lot of heart.
They seem to have some really sloppy stretches - TOs, missed shots and at times leaky defense.

BUT, they also have a lot of fight in them and can get hot in stretches.

The latter will keep us in the upper half of the league but the former will get us knocked out of the tournament if we don't clean it up.

Just glad to get the W. This team was in shock right after what happened with Beard. They're slowly coming out of that.

Next up – at #14 Iowa State (13-3) on Tuesday. Should be a very tough test for us.

Got the win tonight.  Starting a stretch of road games-- 6 games on the road compared to 3 at home during the stretch.

Going to ISU, WV, Tenn, Kansas, K state, and Tech. With Okie Lite, Baylor, and WV at home.

Not certain why this team is playing poorly in the1st half, but that's got to get fixed. They need to get Mitchell and Hunter to get back to playing like they did earlier in the year.

Mitchell comes to life in the transition game and Tech took that away from us tonight for the most part.

This was a serious question.   Maybe he’s in a slump?   Against Tech he wasn’t even in the game at crunch time… last night I think he sat out much more than someone “getting a rest.”  I’m wondering if he’s battling an injury or something. Doesn’t look like the same basketball player.

Rice has been red hot off the bench, I'm thinking that's why we're not seeing Hunter as much in crunch time.

Hunter's a sophomore so he could be in a slump. Hopefully he works himself out of it.

That's a brutal schedule. We need to win the home games and hopefully steal at least 3 road games.
