Baron Browning cuts his list to 6...

These recruits were expecting to win this year as were a lot of people. They gave him the first season just because it was his first. If you don't think winning is the biggest recruiting draw just look at the historical landscape of college football and maybe you'll get it right next time.
So what is your explanation of last year's recruiting class being so highly ranked? After all, this is Strongs 3rd year.

A lot of difference between looking at a hopeful future or viewing three years of abject failure.
My comment that you are referencing is recruiting related, therefore your reply isn't a very strong one, at all.

I think it will be strong as nails if Charlie stays this year. Wait till February.

We'll see.

The first year he had practically none of his own recruits. The second year he did so people were looking for better things the third year.

Recruits can see three years of failure just as we can.

Do you really think his ( or anyones) recruiting classes won't be affected by winning at a .500 pace season after season? Bama isn't getting the pick of the litter because of anything but winning.

Did I say that? I don't think I did.

Of course my comment was also recruiting related.

When you go from first on Browning's list to not even in the top six it likely means the bloom is off of Charlie's rose. It certainly is for me.

So when you stated "three years of abject failure", that was recruiting related? Well, that's interesting. Puzzling as hell but interesting none the less.

Three years of abject failure on the field is going to lead to recruiting failure. It already is. Is that clear enough?

Nope. It didn't really effect the previous 2 classes. The current class is no where near what it could/will be. Try again.

The previous two classes were not looking at three years of total failure. You try again. And I suggest waiting until February.

Of course hopefully by then we won't even be talking about Charlie.

Many recruits have stated repeatedly last year that Strong was ABOUT to turn the corner.  As a matter of FACT Wilson has been reported by a few even on here as saying Strong success on the field this year would impact his decision.

The point is recruits were willing to give Strong a chance with the assumption it would translate into success on the field.  So do you consider .500 record successful?  More importantly does Wilson and his crew think it is?

I dont care about recruiting at this point.  If Strong stays maybe he can work the magic again in February.

I for one hope he is long gone by then.
