Am I missing something on this site?

I love this site and prefer it over OB. However, should I really believe the people on here who are saying the Dallas bMDs will win this battle? I assume that means it will be Saban and not Strong.

But every other insider and board is saying Strong has been confirmed??!!

Honestly, if Strong has been confirmed,why are we sticking to our guns on Saban?

Personally, I think Strong may do well here, but after Saban being so close I had my hopes up and feel a huge let down. Nothing against Strong, but it was not what I was expecting when MB left!

Just not sure what to believe now.

Saban wasn't and isn't a good fit for Texas, regardless of what everyone says. I also don't think he was ever that close to accepting the job, but I'm not an "insider" so what do I know.

Saban was never under consideration and never had an offer imo. Strong will do good on the 40 if he is indeed the next hc.ill wait until it's on the ticker on espn tho.

I think a lot of people have got their hopes up about Saben (who may have been a candidate at one point), Fisher (I personally didn't see this happening", and John Harbaugh (ehh), that they feel a natural let down...I liked Strong and Briles at UT because I felt both could blow the top off of things, Saben always felt like a cash grab for me..I feel that it's not that he really desires to be the head coach at Texas. I think that he probably hates ungrateful Bama fans and the pressure/grind of the SEC, but I just don't think this job is one that he is hungry for. Don't ever under sale hunger. Sure you can be hungry and not have talent and it won't mean a darn thing, but you can have talent and be rich and content.

Saban was a pipe dream. Fisher was a possibility but hard to leave possible back to back nc's.
