Comparing days of wearing UT stuff to days that he wears other schools stuff. The point was, we don't know if the latter even exists.

I understand what you're saying and would agree if we had seen that to be the case.

Back when coaching baseball a highly ranked QB would come by practice.Always wore a U of Houston sweat shirt.Worked with our pitchers 5-10 minutes and wander off. wore shirt or shirts all season.

Commited to Texas.

Did the QB have a name? Outside of James Street (Longview), I'm not sure I know of a QB from East Texas who played for UT.

I don't have a horse in this discussion, but I can think of one. He is the QB James Street replaced: Bill Bradley from Palestine, Texas. I love his reply to referee before game against Texas A$M. At the coin flip before the A&M game, Bill, as captain was asked whether he wanted to kick off or take the ball. His response was "It don't make a sh*t." The following year he intercepted a school-record four passes against Texas A&M as a senior.

Joe D. Norwood all district QB from Texas High. Do not remember who was second QB but belive Street was third.

Played some fot Texas failed freshman year .Bright lites and girls was his own words. Passed and came back his soph. year. Killing hog fat was DKR!s words. Huge talent gone to waste.

Proably second best T H team lost to OdessaPermion in play offs. Best team was a one only loss to Earl Campbell 7-0.

I was at that game. My Dad took me there because he said "it's the best game this year." To hold Earl to 7 points was a pretty incredible effort.

My late uncle was the head coach at Woodrow Wilson in Dallas. They went to the state semi finals in 1969. The next year I believe they had Texas High on the schedule, thinking it would be a decent game but easier than usual win.

Texas High kicked their ass. About 15 of Wilson's players were carried off the field that night. Needless to say, it was a long drive home that night.

Couldn't  tell what Watty  Myers might have up his sleeve.

He was on campus in January as well, I think at the big 2024 class Junior day event.

According to his social media it looks like Colorado is the other school after him. He is going to OU the day after Texas.

We soon found out Bradley was a great Safety who was talented enough to play QB at a high level in high school. While it was disappointing that it didn't work out for him at QB, he did make a helluva Safety.

"It don't make a shit" lol
