This is Sark!s way of recruiting, you can bet it will not change.

To me there is no way to not take a 5* or high ranked 4* early if they want to commît. Slow piay and hopeing for someone better to rise up will cost sooner than later.

Then rucruiting is not what it was. Commitments do not mean much any more. Even signing its mostly money give more or I will portal

 etc.

If you add the players we are the far and away favorites for at this time we jump up into the top 20. Using the 24/7 Class calculator I added Jerrick Gibson, Christian Clark, Parker Livingstone, TE Jordan Washington (who isn't even ranked yet), Daniel Cruz, Alex January and Jordon Johnson Rubell.

That's just 7 more players and the ones that would be described as slam dunks. You could add others or remove a few.

This doesn't account for the 5 stars and other high end guys that we have at least a 50/50 shot on.

I could care less about our current ranking because I see no reason at this point to think we won't have a top 5-10 class when all is said and done.
I genuinely don't see where some have convinced themselves recruiting is lagging or Sark is only lining up three-stars.

Hell, the posts on the past few pages alone are about Texas' great positioning for four and five-stars.

The blueprint has always been June and July.

Yep. With the higher rated guys coming in the 2nd weekend. Not many commitments expected until July.

You may be right, but he also said that he wants to go where he has the best chance to make it to the pro's and indicated that would be Texas, if I remember right.
IT not confident, and saying Oregon folks think it's BYU.

I think you are misreading the situation.

Sark is not having 4 and 5 stars hold off on decisions, if they are ready to commit there is no reason to believe he would not take the commitment.

Most of these guys want to take their official visits this summer and decide before their seasons start. Some want to wait until December. It's just the common timeline for the players these days.

Sark and Co also don't get antsy about filling up the class and jump to their plan Bs prematurely. They also continue to evaluate through senior seasons and will go after guys late in the cycle.

As TFloss pointed out, we have hosted 1 official visitor this summer. Our primary targets are not committing elsewhere. There is no reason to worry about recruiting at this junction.
