True that Billy Glasscock and staff are valuable. That been said, everyone and their dog knows back-door communications are happening. Too many coaches and are complaining about tampering (along with players). It's reasonable to expect that the communication is not a one-way street.Recruiting staff and guys like Billy Glasscock, director of player personnel, are so important in the days of the transfer portal. They have no idea who is available until some tweet goes out or a player hits the portal and they pretty much have to evaluate them on the fly and make decisions about who to bring in and who not to. They also don't know who is going to hit the portal later. I'm really glad I don't have to be in charge of those decisions.
I agree that backdoor communication goes on when a player (not one being shown the door) wants to test the water before deciding to enter the portal. Regardless, it's a tricky job when they don't necessarily know who may be a late addition to the portal such as those in the CFP games. Fortunately, I'm confident Sark and his team are on top of it considering their past success.True that Billy Glasscock and staff are valuable.
