2023-24 Transfer Portal Thread (PORTAL CLOSED)

Of course they all expect to be able to cash in on NIL. In reality, a significant number won't have a better spot or a spot at all when the music stops. Like Sark says, most of them are in the portal for a reason. Left unsaid is that it's often not a good reason.

There are definitely some better and worse reasons.

Best reason is wanting to be closer to home(Mitchel). Worst reason is to avoid repercussions of past bad behavior (Billingsley). Wanting a bigger stage and or more NIL seem like a reasonable reason.

Seeing some smoke that the WR transfer most likely to be a Longhorn is Antwane "Juice" Wells from South Carolina. He originally played at James Madison where he had 1,250 yards and 15 TDs in 2021. Transferred to USC East and had nearly 1,000 yards there. This season he only played 1 game and a quarter before hurting his foot. The injury kept him out the rest of the year.

Looked good in the opening drive vs Georgia before the injury. Had 2 catches and a 17 yard TD that he broke 2 tackles. If healthy then come on down. You're the next Xavier Worthy!

I saw this as well. We need a portal WR. This guy is certainly a take.

from St John Bosco HS here in Long Beach Ca > Clemson> Oregon St> ?

I guess like his cousin Tua T realizes his path to the NFL is not thru Corvallis
Think he wants to stay in a Power 4 conference. You'll likely see a lot of transfers from Oregon St and Wash St imo

Is he immediately eligible? This is his second transfer.
He will be immediately eligible, but my guess is he's a grad transfer or his transfer from James Madison didn't count since they were FCS at the time.

I'll post if I see more.
