2022 Recruiting Board/Thread

To me, two major things that are different between them are

1. MM has been training his entire life to be a QB and I don't believe Swoopes did;

2. MM will have a head coach that completely understands what it takes to be a P5 QB and one that knows how to get the best out of him.

I saw the below post on another board and thought it was intriguing, so I repost it here.

The class is already at 15. Unless the two special teams guys are somehow delaying their scholarships in some fashion, or we're "trapdooring" someone, how do we stay at 25?

In contention (12): Anderson, Harris, Bryant, Bledsoe, Brown, Perkins, Patton, Finkley, Campbell, Dewberry, Stewart, Thompson

Could flip (2): Banks, Williams (OL)

Long shots (5): Williams (WR), Greene, Skinner, Cheeks, Boardingham

Not to mention some random OL, late riser, or other player I'm sure we'll end up with.

Does WR Lee leaving open up a space from last years class. And wasent last years class at 24. If so might be able to taketwo more.

I now see 20 spaces open not counting some going pro ( not any super jrs.) or transfers. Or maybe former WO losing thier ships.

Possibleup to 26 ships so maybe 11 more

It’s a néw age with the transfer portal to.  Anyone who doesn’t play right away this year and years following may leave early I think that will add extra room each year

Although the portal is open both ways, it redefines the meaning (or lack of meaning) of commitment.

After reading the tea leaves this morning I see Texas getting thre of four of five star rated players. Campbell, Stewart, Perkins and Harris. And a four star DB.

I have heard they wouldn't take Cheek's commitment. Cheek's ceiling, IMO, is fairly low. We can do better. 

Boardingham is still being recruiting pretty hard.

Both UT and aggy will get a one-day visit from Anderson before he announces. Obviously, its down to UT and aggy. Jimbo gets the last word on this one so I hope we make that one-day thing something to remember.

247 had an update on Cheeks recently saying that one was likely trending towards him staying closer to home since he has a sick family member, so maybe Michigan or Wisconsin.

North Carolina did really well with him after he officially visited Texas.

If you missed the update on Boardingham a few weeks ago, IT mentioned the staff wouldn't be pushing for a commitment there anytime soon because Coach Banks is going hard after TE Jaleel Skinner from South Carolina.
