Hamm on JK Dobbins

LaGrange, Texas four-star running back J.K. Dobbins shocked many experts when he announced his commitment to Ohio State earlier this spring. Not because the Buckeyes aren’t a great fit but the All-American had never visited Columbus before making the call to Urban Meyer. Just like any high profile recruitment, they’re rarely over until the ink is dry on that letter of intent.

There seems to be this growing sentiment that if Dobbins doesn’t end up at OSU that it will be the Texas Longhorns who steal him but that doesn’t match up with his comments. “Texas, I’ve talked to Coach (Charlie) Strong a bit but Texas...I don’t know. A lot of people thought just because it was my dream school I was going to commit right after I got the offer but just cause it’s my dream school it doesn’t mean it’s a good fit. Like, when you’re a little kid you know it’s your dream to go play there but things change as you get older. There are a lot of things that play into it.â€

While the all-state selection as a junior is keeping in contact with other coaching staffs, Dobbins remains steady with his commitment status. “It’s really nothing, really,†he said. “It’s hard to explain but I’m solid with Ohio State.†Dobbins, an early graduate, has no summer visit plans and says he “doesn’t even know when he’s getting back up to Ohio State†at the moment. The 5-foot-10 and 200-pound Dobbins is a 4-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite. He is the country’s No. 47 overall prospect, the No. 3 running back, and the No. 6 prospect in Texas

Not worried about him. Lots of other great options out there... Time to move on. Reminds me of the Whaley recruitment last year.

Baylor is putting the full court press on Miller. They appear to be a real threat.

Rumor has it regardless of where he commits if aggy offers he flips on the spot. He loves him some aggy.

Aggy thinks that everyone will flip to them. Hell they probably think that if they offer Sam Ehlinger, he'll flip on the spot because he wants to live in the best college town around. But only if he's "SEC Good" 🙄

– UPDATE (1:15 pm): Just talked with FB Travis (TX) OL Will Farrar and he did not visit Texas today. He just tweeted out a picture from his visit last month with his dad. Farrar told me everyone is thinking that he visited today, and I was one of them. I just want to let everyone know that he didn’t visit Texas today but he did tell me he plans to visit Texas at the end of the month.  â€“ (Andrew)

The info is not coming from aggies. It's Texas people. He has also said aggie is is dream school and he wants offer and will commit there.
