SignUp Now!That was Daylon Mack trying to recruit in an interview. Said Malik and Sheffield. Mack also predicted that A&M would land Derrick Dillon and we saw how that played out. Just a kid trying to recruit like Omenihu.Just saw where Daylon Mack is predicting two more 5* will commit to aggy
Based on some of his parent's comments I would be very surprised if Malik goes out of state. Sheffield on the other hand, I think he's going out of state. The Opening 2014: 5-star linebacker Malik Jefferson shows interest in Ohio State

BEAVERTON, Ore. -- Texas prep linebacker Malik Jefferson has his pick of schools to choose from in the coming months. On one hand there is the option to stay closer to home where the Poteet standout could play for Texas A&M or Texas. On the other there's Alabama, Oklahoma, Baylor, Oregon, Stanford and 30-plus others who would love to have Jefferson's services.
But what about Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes?
"Yes, in the future I want to check them out for sure," Jefferson said following the conclusion of The Opening on Thursday. Jefferson was an all-tournament team linebacker and was part of the winning 7-on-7 team that took home the championship.
"I think the two main things are life after football and just a coach that can make me a better player and a better man at the same time."
Jefferson continued making a name for himself at The Opening where he used the four-day showcase event to prove why he is one of the best players in the country and one of the most sought-after players in the 2015 class. Measuring in at 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds, he qualified for the SPARQ championship after posting an impressive 145.65 in the preliminary round. His 4.39-second 40-yard dash, 4.19-second 20-yard shuttle, 42-foot kneeling power ball toss and 39.7-inch vertical gave him the second-highest rating heading into the finals.
"I wasn't pleased with the second ones but the first ones I was very pleased," he said. "I knew those were my legit numbers because I worked hard for a long time to get that accomplished and I was just kind of frustrated at the championship round. I had a slower time and everything was kind of a little worse than before. I was a little tired, too."
Jefferson finished sixth in the finals with a score of 134.7. His rare combination of strength and speed caught the attention of several onlookers and he said it was nice to take a break from recruitment, even if it was only for a week.
Once he returns to Texas he'll meet with his family and try to figure out which schools he wants to visit before high school football picks up. It's a return to reality, one he's enjoyed stepping away from during the past week.
"It's been the greatest thing I've ever experienced," he said of The Opening. "Just to be around these guys, they're all great players and it's just been an amazing week. I've learned so much and became a better man."

Gotta chuckle at the way Mack is handling the recruiting process. He bombards the world on twitter on how great Aggie is and tries to recruit every player in the nation there. He then states he is apparently open to going elsewhere if one specific high school player decides to go to another school? Seems to have a lot of positivity towards coach Strong which is a plus to pry him away from aggie. Sounds like he is 100% sold on aggie! I think he is really enjoying the spotlight. Reminds me a lot of Martellus Bennett from years past, "I'm going to Texas, no Miami, no the NBA, no I'll settle on college station." Would love to have Mack at UT based on his resume, just hope he makes an educated decision on his future and puts in the hard work on all aspects of college. Always seems positive, doesn't trash other schools like a lot of recruits on twitter. Some quotes from DT Daylon Mack regarding Malik Jefferson and his influence on Macks decision, from Horns Digest.
"I would definitely start to look at them (if Jefferson went there)."
"I plan to only take two official visits and one will be to Texas A&M." Mack said. "I'm not sure where the other will be but UT is under high consideration. They are coming after me extremely hard. I feel like I am one of their top priorities."
"I like the way he is running the program," Mack said. "He is trying to fix it to his liking. He didn't get the job because things were going all fine and dandy."
Mack is an attention seeker. He pushes that Aggy pride because he gets love from Aggys on social media. Not long ago he told Hamm he's "90 percent" committed to Aggy. I don't know if Texas will get Mack but if Aggy goes 7-5 and their defense is still bad I bet he jumps ship. I don't think he will end up at A&M let me put it that way. The players that are generally most committed are players that don't have to say a word. Heard is a good example from the last class. Mack is all show. A bad record from Aggy and Mack will jump ship.Gotta chuckle at the way Mack is handling the recruiting process.
