2027 Recruiting Thread

BTW, Snow is entering his 7th year of college ball. For perspective, he was in the same class as Bijan Robinson.

Tom Herman recruited him back then.
Glad to have Snow. The rules that allow someone to play 7 seasons (I assume he played in fewer than 4 games in 3 of those seasons) are nuts. But we should take advantage of the rules, no matter how stupid.

Longhorns win over Georgia, Miami, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

Fields is the ninth Texas pledge in the class of 2027.

21 tackles for a loss and 11 sacks last year.

Four-star safety Semaj Stanford out of Broken Arrow (Okla.) will announce his college commitment on Thursday afternoon, deciding between Texas, Georgia, and Oregon.

He has not visited UT so the advantage right now is Oregon, whom he did visit.

I can remember one Longhorn player from Oklahoma.... he was a white cornerback in the 80s.... though I cannot remember his name? I believe he was from Norman, OK....

Thought there was another kid from the Tulsa area, maybe Jenks HS this century. If I remember correctly, he ended up with shoulder injuries and never really panned out.

Pickryl in 2003 was the kid I was thinking of. He played at Jenks back when they were the power in OK HS along with Union and was pretty highly recruited. If I remember correctly, he ended up with shoulder issue on both sides and never made an impact.

Pickryl was actually a very good DE for us. He played in 12 of 13 games in 2002, stated five of those, and had 30 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks.

Then the shoulder doomed him.
