What a fall it has been for TCU, coming off their most successful season in forever to now occupy the lower half of the conference standings. It is sad. Okay, no it't not. In fact, I'm a bit giddy about it. lol

They too are using a back up QB. Theirs is having issues. The whole team is having issues and the HC doesn't seem to have an answer. Going into the season I thought TCU would be a dark horse for the conference title. They still have good talent.

But who's kidding who here? The reality of it is we're going to beat the cockroach shit out of them on our way out the door. One last time.

Hello 9-1. We haven't seen you in quite a while.

Love y'alls optimism, but there's a reason they're called cockroaches.
They try to spoil our B12 going out party, but we put the DDT on them for good.

With Murphy starting you have to assume he will have several turnovers. That will be the only reason this game is close. Sadly Murphy is just not ready. 34-17 seems about right but this game could go sideways if Murphy struggles again.

Horns 27 - cockroaches 23.

Similar to MB, I can't trust that we blow out anyone if MM is driving the ship. I think we win, but with some heavy heartburn, again.

TCU is almost as bad as us at scoring once we cross the 40 yard line and our defense is elite at stopping teams that do cross the 40. I think TCU will by forced to settle for FGs when they do have success on offense.

They are not terrible on defense but as our team has shown all year, the quality of the opponents defense has little to do with our offensive output. They are a good defense at limiting points to teams that cross the 40 as well.

Did you watch Texas vs UH? Did you watch Texas vs Kstate? Teams hanging around longer than they should’ve been.

I’m assuming Murphy starts Saturday:

This game will no different. MM will throw 2 INTs but we will also run it very well. The TCU D will challenge MM to throw and he will be erratic.

Texas will come out sharp. Take a decent lead but then TCU will make the necessary adjustments and keep it close but Texas wins.

Texas 33
TCU 27

If TCU decides to throw it all game, watch out, it may be even tighter.

Agreed it will be close. I think it is 27-24 Longhorns. Amon Carter will be rocking and Maalik will continue to struggle a bit with it being a road game.

The problem isn't our offense. The first pass Quin Ewers threw for UT should have been intercepted. The second one was intercepted.

These are growing pains. They all go through it. Making mistakes one week doesn't mean he's destined to repeat them the next.

Your last sentence is outright gospel. If we continue to give up 10 yards to the WRs, we will get smoked. We have corners who can lock down if we let them. But the 10 yd buffer puts them at a real disadvantage. So this is on PK to respond to, if he does.

They are bad in the run game, both offensively and defensively.

Sark likes to pass to set up the run so I wouldn't be surprised to see him let MM sling it around early. I do think he will pivot in the second half if we can just lean on them in the run game. I think that was his plan against K State but the two quick TOs changed things a bit.

We should be able to control their run game without needing to commit much more than our D-line and a LB. D-line also has another good opportunity to pressure the QB. I think they will find some sporadic success moving the ball through the air but we will be able to clamp down on them in the red zone and will come away with a few sacks and TOs.
