Classy moment to end the regional. The slowest and most sincere handshake line between the two teams with a USA-USA chant from the crowd, followed by both teams joining in for the others fight song. Lots of respect shown by these two clubs.
Congrats to the new minted Air Force Lieutenants, 8 going on to fly jets and 1 headed to medical school.

Really couldn't have drawn up a better regional for Texas:
Pitching was very good. You could say that Pete Hansen's 6.2 inning 3 ER outing was the worst of all the pitchers this weekend. Gordon gave up 1 ER in 5.1 innings. The relief pitching went 12 innings and gave up 2 runs (15 innings if you count Stehle as a reliever).
Offense was slow to get started on Saturday but otherwise had a good approach all weekend, put up plenty of runs in each game and wore down opponents pitchers.
Defense was perfect with 0 errors. David Pierce mentioned working on base running and that seems to be the only spot where Texas made errors this weekend.
Chance to host the Super Regional next weekend. Let's go Chanticleers!

10 games on deck for Monday. The Auburn v. UCLA game was suspended to Monday as well.
East Carolina and Costal Carolina on at noon.
Interesting match-up in the supers in Fake UT v. ND.
Both the blow u v. Florida and Okie Lite v. Arkie could be high scoring games.
Also, the Texas State v. Stanford match-up should be interesting as Stanford will have to piece the pitching as their closer was used in the 1st game on Sunday for 6 innings.
Could have several interesting super regionals after Monday.

Was nice to see the crowd react like they did. I also enjoyed listening to the AF coach interviews during the games. I've always had much respect for the academies.

aggy is playing some good ball, especially for a team that was picked 6th in their division. It wouldn't surprise me if they beat V Tech. They made a great coaching hire.

Well hell. I was hoping that Texas State would've won the game. To get 2 in the top of the 9th only to give up 3 in the bottom of the 9th.
It would've been the 1st time in school history to get to the super regionals, but Stanford lucked out the win as Texas State could have scored more runs, but didn't get it done.
