Bottom 2nd. Slow grounder to Daly for out 1. Single, passed ball allows runner to 2nd. Stehle consistently pounding pitches into the dirt and another wild pitch allows the runner to 3rd. Follows with back to back strike outs to strand the runner at 3rd.

Stehle a little wild but doing enough to put up 0s.

Softball - Diving catch by Lauren Burke to end Arizona's 6th inning. Texas coming to bat with a 5-2 lead. 3 outs remain for Arizona.

Top 3 - Austin Todd with a slow roller to 1st base. Pitcher can't catch the toss on the run and Todd is safe. More bad defense by the Falcons helping the Horns.

Top 3 - Messinger singles through the left side. What a great pick up he has been. 5th in Big 12 in Batting average, played good defense. Runners 1st and 2nd.

Ardoin looking to sac bunt but takes two strikes. Ardoin switches the approach to slash bunt. Flys out to right, does allow Todd to advance to 3rd. Runners on the corners with 1 out.

Daly up to bat. 0-2 but he battles it back full. before hitting a sac fly. Texas up 6-0.

Bedtime for the toddler. I'll be back later.

Bot 3 : Stehle with a walk but then 3 straight outs. Ends his outing with 3 IP, spreads 4 baserunners and gives up 0 runs

Top 4: Dylan Campbell bomb

Bot 4: Jared Southard takes the mound. Strikes out the side in 11 pitches.

Top 5: Messinger reaches first with a single and moves up to second on a ball in the dirt. Ardoin doubles to RCF and Messi scores 8-0 Texas.

Daly walks to put runners on 1st and 2nd with 1 out. Air Force going back to the pen.

Top 5 continued : Faltine strikes out for out #2. Eric Kennedy hitting for Hodo (who is icing down his eye injury from last night). EK grounds out. Texas 8-0 to the bottom of the 5th

Bot 5: Southard gets F8 for first out. 5-3 for 2nd out. Kennedy slightly misplays a hard hit ball to the left field fence. Off his gloves for a double. Southard bounces back for a 3-2 count strike out with the breaking ball. Texas 8-0

Top 6: Dylan Campbell works a walk. Great weekend of ball from him. Lots of hard hit balls that led to outs, a couple of bombs. He's erased on a tailor made double play ball smashed to 3rd by Melendez. Stehyl flys out for the 3rd out.

Bot 6th: Southard gets his 5th K for out 1. 6th K for out 2. Hits a batter in a 0-2 count and then walks the next. Sean Allen out for a mound visit and some bullpen action gets going.

End 6th: Southard gets a grounder to Melendez.

He may be done after 3 scoreless innings. He looked really good. 6 scoreless from bullpen arms is more than we could have asked for.

Top 7: Todd ground out. Messinger walks. Ardoin walks. Daly hits into inning ending double play.

Bot 7: Duplantier on the mound. Gets 2 quick grounders to SS for first 2 outs. Infield single hit to deep SS. Gets a strike out to end the inning.

Top 8: Faltine is walked but a third straight double play erases him.

Dylan Campbell blasts a solo HR for his 9th HR on the year. Gotta imagine he's earned a starting role going forward.

Melendez works a full count and takes a walk.

Pitching change. Stehly ground out ends the inning. Texas 9-0

Bottom 8. Duplantier on the mound. Faltine nearly makes a great throw deep in the hole at SS on the leadoff single.

5-4-3 double play and a strike out ends the inning. Texas 3 outs away from Supers. Texas 9-0

Top 9 : Todd ground out. Messi HBP. Ardoin strikes out.

Pitching change. Classy coaching move to give the senior pitcher a proper send off. New pitcher also a senior Lieutenant.

Daly welcome the new pitcher with a single. With runners on 1st and second Faltine flares a blooper into shallow right field. Messi scores and Daly runs through the stop sign and gets thrown out at the plate. Texas up 10-0.

Bottom 9: Lebarron Johnson on the mound. 1st batter hits a HR to left field. 2Ks and a ground out end the inning, game and regional. Texas 10-1

On to the Super Regionals!
