Of course Franklin's, but if you're NOT trying to spend half the day standing in line, what are the best bbq spots in Austin?  Thanks fam!

County Line isn't bad. Not great, but not bad. If you go, sit on the deck at the river. Very relaxing and watch the huge fish pass by.

That said, its not much better than Rudy's. But Rudy's is nothing to complain about.

Make the drive to Taylor and eat at Mueller's BBQ. Same recipe/family as Franklins. Awesome stuff.

La BBQ

Mickelwait's

Black's

Kerlin BBQ

Freedman's

Valnetina's

Salt is is OK... Fun out outing but cue is ok

County Line sucks

I have been to Franklin's, Blacks, the two in Lockhart and the one in Giddings. Mueller's in Taylor is the BEST.

Coopers bbq
Nope. Not the one in Llano. The selection of meat is good and usually well qued, but the dipping sauce inside sucks. It's nothing more than tomato juice, vinegar and salt. That's great as a basting sauce for when the meat is on the grill, but beyond that it is severely lacking. And the sides are way too eclectic for my taste. Plus it's over-priced.

BBQ, like women (or men for the women here), varies in taste per the person. In Austin just stay away from Bill Millers and you should be fine.

Austin's a big city, might help to narrow down the area.

P.S. I love the County Line by the Lake, great beef ribs and brisket.

Don't it make you just want to drop a line in the water? LOL those fish are huge swimming by. The sauce there isn't bad, either.

It’s All Good out in Spicewood was always good to me and my wife. Didn’t hit up nearly enough bbq spots during our time in Austin.
