They won’t justify it, they will just do it.
They are not justifying Oregon being ahead of us.
Keeping Ohio State ahead of us is BS as well, they suck. The whole Big 10 is a joke
Of course they tried to justify Oregon being above....see below. Its bs but they did. They wont be able to justify Bama being ahead of us because we beat them head to head.

Of course Bama could jump us. Even after last night, you still have faith that this committee can get it right?

There's no way they can justify Oregon being ahead of us, but they do it anyway. See?
The Pac-12 has been left out of the CFP for a while now. They want to make sure a Pac-12 team gets in. So no matter what happens in the Pac-12 championship game, one of them is getting in.

Given the obvious lack of confidence we all have in the committee, the problem I have with Bama winning, is I could see them keeping Georgia in the top 4 too.

Gonna be crazy interesting if we end up in this scenario:
Undefeated B10 champ Mich
Undefeated Pac 12 champ Wash
Undefeated ACC champ FSU
1 loss B12 champ Texas
1 loss SEC champ Bama
1 loss Georgia.

I have no clue what the top 4 turn out to be here, but I don't want to find out bc I think Texas gets the shaft here given how the committee has already treated us. And I'd be completely NOT surprised if the committee considered keeping Georgia in over FSU.

Bring on the 12 team playoff already, bc this is nonsense.

Back in the day the national title was even more of a beauty contest than it is today. The bowls themselves determined who played in them so often times the clear # 1 and 2 did not even play each other... That is why Joe Pa was so mad his undefeated team was not considered. Of course, he conveniently forgot he ducked playing Texas in the Cotton Bowl although his team was first choice....that is also why I never miss a chance to say ...fuck Joe Pa....and why I always root for OU except when we play em.....we always needed them to rank high...

One of the problems I see is Florida state looked terrible against Florida. So if they are going for styles points Florida State is going to get smacked in the CFP. I believe Fl st lost their star QB and Florida as terrible as they are had the lead and a chance to win that game in the 4th.

I just think Oregon and Washington may be good in the PAC12 but that isnt saying much. Its like 2 pigs fighting each other, doesnt correlate to either being great. Texas would demolish either of them. Texas is better than all 3 of those teams.

Anyone else tired of the same arguments over and over and over on who should be on top, Texas, Oregon and Alabama if they all win.

I get the frustration, but there are no new points, and the conference championship games haven't yet been played.

I don't know DMAC, Washington/Penix killed us last year in the bowl game. They're very good.

And if we don’t make playoffs, got no one to blame but ourselves.
OU drive the whole field on us with 1:17 to play and no timeouts to beat our butts.
So it ain’t like we don’t have any warts.
But it still has been a magical season.

I know the playoff expands next year, but the fiasco thatt is happening before our eyes is why Texas and OU left and headed to the SEC....those on the CFP committee dont respect Texas or the BIG 12

That moron that used the excuse Bo Nix is having a great year is absurd, how many years has he been in CFB, same with Penix

The odds of all the favorites winning this weekend are not great

Every one screws Texas refs, the committe and all who has chance.Belive Horns have a 6 year senior.
Alwaysthought Texas left Big 12 for more oney and recruiting.

Probably a conversation to be had in a week or two, but:

How long and how much will Sark's extension be this offseason? He currently makes $5.6 million and has 3 years left on his deal. However, we all know he will use this success to get a raise as he should.

For context, his $5.6 million is 4th in the Big 12 behind Gundy ($7.6 million), Venables ($7.1 million), and Leipold at KU ($5.75 million). In the SEC though, Sark would rank 14th. Only ahead of Lebby at Miss St ($4.5) and Clark Lea at Vandy ($3.05). And overall Sark ranks 32nd in the NCAA in salary.

Dude is due a raise. My best guess is we rip up his current deal and he signs a new 6 year $9 million/year contract to run through 2029. That will make him tied for 10 highest paid coach in the NCAA with Lane Kiffin.

Then we give the rest of the staff a 10% raise to pay the total coaching staff close to $20 million heading into the SEC.

Thoughts?

I'm sorry, but I just can't do it. I always hope ou gets beat by 50 no matter who they play.
100% agree. If we take care of business, don't need to root for anyone else, especially ouSux.

If aggie needed to win for us to get in the CFP, I'll just say "we'll do better next year".

Sorry but if ou or aggy winning helped us get into the national title game then I'd pull for them bigtime. To not do so would, well, be aggyish.

As far if we get in the CFP, let's just take care of business Saturday and see how the chips fall.

They are good, might be one of the best in the nation, however last year our 2 best RBs and best LB sat out of that game yet we only lost by 7.

Also that 10% raise would bump Bo Davis up to $1.1 million and hopefully keep him from LSU. Add 3 years to his deal instead of 1 or 2.

Agree and I'm sure the Big XII isn't helping push Texas which is like cutting your nose off the spite your face.

Fun stat, the Big XII is 2-1 vs the $ec this year with all 3 games being played on the $ec's home fields.

Texas by 10 @ Bama
BYU by 7 @ Arkansas
Missouri by 3 vs Kansas St

Not sure what the market is, and how the negotiations go, but I hope it has some big performance based bonuses, like what aggy gave Elko.

If I did that, I'd have to take 342 showers to cleanse the sin away. lol
