FSU losing to Louisville should get it done.

Oregon beating Washington would help even more.
I'm changing course on the second part.

The committee is obviously hard for Oregon for whatever reason, so Washington winning would make things easier.

All in all, I still think an FSU loss gets Texas #4.

Ohio State above Texas right now is theatrics as even the biggest homers should be able to see they can't get in over a conference champion Texas with four ranked wins and didn't even make their own conference game.

completely agree with Oregon and FSU points. I think an Oregon win over Washington gets them in, but would think Washington would fall behind with a loss for the same logic as Ohio State getting passed by us if we win the conference championship. However, safer not to test that theory. I also think that a loss in the last week or two does not allow the loser to get a second shot at the same team in the playoffs meaning no two teams from the same conf even if Georgia loses since they are not conf champs and had their' playoff' play in game.

Committee chair on live TV after Fowler asks him about how Texas leads Oregon in pretty much every category, but is ranked 2 spots behind them:

"Well, Bo Nix is having a great year" and entirely ignores Fowlers point and question about texas having a better SOS and better common opponent outcome/result.

"We look at everything"

I said its not a foregone conclusion that the Horns are in if Bama beats Georgia. Prepare to be entirely f*cked by the committee on Sunday. We absolutely, 100%, need Bama and Florida St to lose this weekend to have a chance.

If I've calculated everything correctly Texas will have two open dates next year. They start the year on Aug 31 with Colo St and end the year on Nov 30th with A&M. That is 14 weeks.

I agree with Washington beating Oregon would be better.

With this many teams still in play, the more teams you totally eliminate from consideration, the better. Oregon and Bama losing would totally eliminate them. FSU losing would leave them and tOSU as 1-loss teams who did not win their conference. That leaves Texas and the 3 undefeated teams as the only 4 conference winners and you have your 4 playoffs teams with no room to question.

Now if Oregon wins Friday night, the whole "what's better for Texas" takes a different turn.

I'm not too worried about Oregon. It seems that whoever wins the Pac12 championship game is in and the loser drops below us.

Yup. We need one of FSU or Michigan to lose. I’m on the fence about Bama since if they win a close one, I could see Georgia staying one spot ahead of Texas.

Washington and Oregon are both overrated. Their sos is not good. It doesn't matter who wins Oregon vs Washington. Texas would smack the crap out of either of them. This is about Nix for Heisman ratings and Nike influence with regards to Oregon.

Our DL would ruin Nix's Heisman hopes

Makes ZERO sense considering we beat them at Bryant-Denny. Their first home loss by double digits in 19 years. Comparing common opponents is one thing but head to head match ups doesn't get any cleaner than that. Bama will not jump us. There is no way they can justify it.

Of course Bama could jump us. Even after last night, you still have faith that this committee can get it right?

There's no way they can justify Oregon being ahead of us, but they do it anyway. See?

Have we beaten Oregon head to head like we did Bama? As I have stated Oregon should not be above us. Common opponent tech and sos is obvious. Explain to me the shit storm that would take place if Bama jumps us after we beat them head to head in probably the biggest win of the year.

They won’t justify it, they will just do it.
They are not justifying Oregon being ahead of us.
Keeping Ohio State ahead of us is BS as well, they suck. The whole Big 10 is a joke

BTW I have no faith in them especially after the latest rankings. Its a joke to claim points scored and Nix completion percentage. We would demolish him and Oregon. Washington as well. The Pac 12 sucks. I am just saying they can make excuses for Oregon because there was no head to head with Texas but they cant make excuses for Bama because we beat bad in Bryant Denny. Hell the score wasnt even indicative of how badly we beat Bama
