TFB saying tonight that LSU is going after Bo Davis and are prepared to compete with Texas financially to get him. Davis has had two different stints with LSU in the past.

I don't think Texas will be topped here on money. Our pockets are deeper. But LSU is going to try and will hope his ties there will tip things in their favor.
Can't let that happen

His two stints at LSU were low level jobs, although he did also go to LSU.

Obviously Davis has done a great job, so we would love for him to stay, but the reality is when a head coach is able to attract top coaches to a program, and when the program is doing well some of those coaches will inevitably look to move on for better opportunities. Unless they offer him more responsibilities LSU doesn't sound like a better opportunity.

One of the things I love about Sark is that he is able to attract great assistants. Just look at how he replaced the running back coach and the receiver coach. Some coaching attrition is inevitable, and probably healthy, with Sark as the head coach I'm not going to lose too much sleep over coaches getting other offers.

FSU losing to Louisville should get it done.

Oregon beating Washington would help even more.
Our best bet is an FSU loss and Georgia, Michigan and Washington win.

The way the committee is treating us is absurd. Oregon has zero business being ranked above us and I don’t trust the committee ranking us above any other one loss team (Alabama, Ohio State, Oregon, Washington, Georgia or Michigan).

Making the playoffs this year was not my expectation but if we win the Big 12 we freaking earned the spot.

I think one thing Sark has asked of his assistants is loyalty/commitment. Besides with what he has built on the DL, why would Davis leave other than to take the DC position.

Play with this CFP predictor. You can get some interesting results.

I recall the 2001 Big12 Championship where we were heavy favorites since we demolished Colorado earlier in the season; with Chris Simms at the helm.

I hope we see the performance from the regular season and not the Big12 game from 2001.

Yes, I know we didn't play osu in the regular season; just came to my mind due to the QB situation

Heard the committee chairman say they looked at "every data point". Guess they missed those.

Like you Texas making the CFP was not my expectation although it was a hope of mine. Hell I thought 10-2 with a berth in the CCG was more than likely the ceiling for this team. I never thought I would say that falling short of the CFP would be a disappointment.
BTW from what I can tell there are at least three scenarios where Texas can make it in, and none of them consider UM losing. Just think if Iowa's defense stands up? Pipe Dream, probably, but Texas gets in with every scenario of UM losing?
