There are 3 senior LBS gone next year. 1 jr LB Blackwell?and 4 freshmen.

Need 7 solets hope 2 are on the menu.

Jelani Mcdonald could also be counted as a LB, that is probably more of his long term plan even if he starts out as a DB this year.

Sounds like the staff is hitting the reset button on the position group. They are not going to take a body just to do so. They will likely keep after their top targets through signing day and look for a late riser this fall.

IT write up this morning did mention they will likely load up with numbers along the D-line and to a slightly lesser degree DB.

Some of the staff retweeted that this morning, so he's likely close to an official commitment.

I know they will lose some LBs this year, but Hill, Lefau, Burrell, McDonald (he will be a Demo type LB), and one of Akana or Guillette (hybrid types) will and can hold it down next year.  Grab a transfer or 2 and pick up at least 1 this year to develop (House) and you have a solid room.  Just imo.

Let him live in Lubbock for 3-4 years and catch passes from Shough or whoever. He'll enjoy playing central Florida and the like.

I think he truly needs to live in a space where he knows that is his destiny.

Hudson has canceled his Texas official, per 247.

This is now a Hill-like recruitment where the staff will need to let the season unfold with him committed to Tech.

Basically the approach is win a bunch of games with an outstanding passing attack, whoop Tech on Thanksgiving weekend and hope you can get him in for an official before signing day.

I suppose Hudson will be the main target at tech with more opportunities than at Texas, where the competition for targets is much greater. He'll also be double covered a lot there.
