Hunter has only played 2 years and will likely be back.

Mitchell has an NBA decision but scoring less than 5 points a game makes me think he'll be back. Morris should also be back as he likely isn't an NBA pick right now.

Disu does have 1 year left, he has played 4 years but one was the covid year. He was honored at senior day but that doesn't preclude a return.

Carr, Bishop have played 5 years and exhausted eligibility including the covid year.

And yes, Brock has said he will be back.

I think the roster will look like G Tyrese Hunter, G Arterio Morris, F Dylan Mitchell, F Brock Cunningham and maybe F Dylan Disu. Plus the 2 incoming freshmen 5 stars and 2 redshirt freshmen (Alex Anamekwe and Rowan Brumbaugh). Will probably need a few portal additions to round it out but could be pretty solid.

It's going to be a young team next year unless Terry portals in some upper classmen. Need to hit the portal anyway, that's only nine scholarship players at best for next year.

Ol Miss hired Chris Beard. That will be interesting to see when they come to Austin in a couple of years.

I do wonder if the 2 assistants that have followed him that are going to want to stay or follow him to Ole Miss. Do think that Ogdon stays and Terry stays unless for some reason CDC has someone different in mind of being the HC.

Ole Miss can't pay those assistants what Texas pays. I don't think any of them leave. Unless for some reason Terry didn't get the HC job.

aggy got screwed on their seeding and they have been playing very good ball lately. I stated earlier this season they were playing good ball and got the typical "f aggy" responses. Buzz is a good coach and has them ready to play.

Yea, we got no favors from the committee. Both possible opponents in the 2nd round made their conference tournament finals. We need to show up and be ready to play.

Totally agree. How a team like aggy that got the #2 seed in the SEC and to their finals is only a 7th seed, but Kentucky gets a higher seed as does Tennessee, who lost their best player and lost what 5 of the final 8 games gets a 5 seed.

This committee did the big 12 and other teams no favors in the seeding. I believe the 8/9 and 7/10 games are probably at best toss up games.

Ogdon and Terry are also both big time Texas guys. Ogdon having played there and Terry having spent a lot of time in Austin as a player and coach as well. IT guys have said Terry's dream job is at Texas.

Filled out my brackets at work. I really wanted to pick Texas to go further, but I just couldn't do it. Picked them to get to the Elite 8. If they get past a tough 2nd round, I think that's realistic.

Everyone is bashing Texas for not already giving Rodney Terry the job. CDC is getting paid the big bucks to make the decision. Either he is going to hire someone else (home run hire) or he is going to wait until the season is over. Dick Vital saying Texas is showing “No class” by not giving him the job. His ass isn’t on the line to make the right decision. Dick Vital was gushing about Shaka too and that didn’t work out. It’s not easy at Texas to make these decisions. New stadium, he’s got to make the right call. Rodney Terry might be the right call but taking a little while longer to decide seems ok to me. We’ll know soon. 
 

Man hate the way the women’s team got routed. I know they have had some injuries but man that last game they were never in it. They’ll be alright but alright but hope Vic can use the portal for help. Need to get some pressure off Rori.

Xavier only rotates 6 players (only 6 players avg more than 8 minutes - 2 that do are currently hurt). Can we get them in foul trouble early? We have 9 that avg 12 minutes or more.

Xavier does not defend the 3 ball well. Can we make 40% or more against a bad 3 pt defense? They do have a 7 footer that may slow us down a bit down low or give Dylan Disu trouble. Driving to the hoop and draw a foul or kick out for the 3 may be our best approach. 

They shoot decently from 3, we will have to lock in on defense and have a plan for their 7 footer down low.

TFB is reporting today that there has been an agreement in place with RT to make him the next HC at Texas. RT asked that the agreement be postponed until the season's end. The reasoning seems to be that the players think they're playing for his job right now.
