2022 Texas Portal News

If he's a grad transfer, I don't think that rule applies.
You know come to think of it I remember him saying he is going to announce between us and Nebraska by the end of the month so we should know this week.

In his presser, Sark mentioned having thorough exit interviews with the players. I'm guessing he won't be the only one entering the portal when it's said and done. The portal is a 2 way street and the reality of the world of college football. Good luck to the young man and all others that may enter the portal

Isn't the deadline about portal transfers, going and coming decision, May 1st?

If so, won't we know his decision by this Sunday?
Going, but not coming.

He can announce in July if he wants. He's already announced that he's leaving TCU.

May 1 is the deadline to get out, although there are several loop holes that some have already used..

IT emphasized today that Texas will continue looking at the portal for LB and S help.

this transfer portal has more activity than a MLB waiver wire...just a total sham, bunch of former blue chipper free agents whose careers may not have panned out of whoever they signed with changing teams like a high school cheerleader changing boyfriends

He is first of five who must be gone by August. Guilbeau the second?

Didnt Guilbeau recently post his jersey before the Spring Game indicating he might be staying?  I thought he was just suspended for the Spring.

I think that was before his latest incident.

What have I missed?  He had another incident?

Still waiting for @Sirhornsalot to provide some confirmation. Usually these types of incidents become common knowledge pretty quickly but I don't think info on this has been circulating.
For what it's worth, I checked state records this morning and no results on Guilbeau.

lol, I confirm that it happened. lol

I'm flattered, but I'm not the source here. The source works for APD, so take that for what it's worth.

This incident happened AFTER the suspension from the team.

It was an APD traffic stop. Had nothing to do with the state law enforcement. I am told APD is very slow with posting their arrest records.

I'm sure, since you're media, you could make a FOIA request.

And roughly 45% of them won't go to the prom next year. lol

IMO, thats what is sad. A great number of them will land back home with their parents.

I won't mind at all. The APD arrest site has arrests of two weeks ago posted. So it appears they are two weeks behind. But do whatever you want.
Credit where credit is due if this comes to fruition, however.
