SignUp Now!Just for clarification, are you saying that you are underwhelmed by Quin Ewers QB talent?I’m underwhelmed
If either or both hudson card and casey thompson remain at Texas they sill still be the best quarterback on opening day
I hope Sark is able to resist the pressure to start Ewers sooner rather than breaking him in gradually
I am more excited by the OL 5* recruits because no pocket passer can survive or thrive without protection
the better the protection the better the offense no matter who the QB is
and it goes without saying that we need a couple of dominating defensive line players also
all of which MIGHT allow Texas to compete for a Big 12 championship next year
Ewers has outstanding physical talentJust for clarification, are you saying that you are underwhelmed by Quin Ewers QB talent?
So is that a yes or a no to my question?Ewers has outstanding physical talent
so did chris simms have talent and was considered a cant-miss NFL prospect
but Major Applewhite was a better QB because unlike Simms the game was not too fast for him
Of course Quinn will have to win the job and we have yet to see him compete at the highest level but (as Rod Babers would say - Nikki Minaj, Cardi B, Kim Kardishian sized butt) we have a lot of good reason to believe he will do just that. He competed at the highest level of high school football for an absolute football and QB factory at SLC. Watch his highlights from HS, reminds me most of Johnny Manziel with his ability to scramble around in the pocket and then fire off dimes down field. There is a reason he is one of the only HS recruits to receive a perfect ranking.Ewers has outstanding physical talent

As I said, ewers has great physical talentSo is that a yes or a no to my question?
Just like every other new recruitsAs I said, ewers has great physical talent
but his mental performance at the college level remains to be seen
Yes, but other recruits do not carry his high expectationsJust like every other new recruits
Bryan Harsin must have rubbed somebody wrong. Two very big hits for them.Three bigger names who've entered the portal:
QB Bo Nix - Auburn
QB Kedon Slovis - USC
RB Tank Bigsby - Auburn
Wouldn't be surprised to see someone like Slovis end up there. I wouldn't have minded kicking the tires on him if the Ewers thing had not panned out.Bryan Harsin must have rubbed somebody wrong. Two very big hits for them.
I think Texas needs a stud wide receiver either from the 2022 class or the transfer portalWouldn't be surprised to see someone like Slovis end up there. I wouldn't have minded kicking the tires on him if the Ewers thing had not panned out.
Chris did play in the NFL a bit longer. But Major was a better college QB.Ewers has outstanding physical talent
