Truth but why?  I think Gary lost his team with some of his remarks like "im untouchable" and run in with his players.  Then he smacked down.  I dont really know but thats my perception anyways.  I cant stand the guy.

Sorry man I’m just on edge with all this.  I didn’t see us being 5-7 and horse whipped by Arkansas.  I’m ready to see this turned around and I don’t know when that’s going to be.

For the record, I’m for a Patterson addition and believe that if they can work together, they could do great things at Texas. That said, I’m not convinced either ego will allow it to happen. The mystery of the disappearing thread also makes me wonder if it was all rapidly fading smoke and no real fire. Hope I’m wrong.

I don’t know if they could work together or not either.  Sark and CDC need to figure it out.  I don’t know much about Coach PK.  I haven’t kept up with U of Washington.  They say he’s good but I didn’t see enough adjustments/improvement  this year.  We seem to keeping doing the same thing and getting the same results.  We’ll see how this goes.

Texas took a huge step back when we lost the ability to rush the passer. Guys like Orakpo, Ossai, and even Poona were players that had to be schemed against. Been precious few of those over the past decade.

No matter the noise or quiet every year our expectations soar and when the dust settles we come crashing down to reality.  Recruiting, coaching hires, player development.  Pick your poison because we routinely fail at all of them.  

I am at the point where the admin and coaching staff will have to prove everything to me.  Then and only then will I become optimistic.  Tired of being Charlie Brown and falling on my ass.

Where we fall with recruiting and Ewers will tell us a lot about the direction of this program and the quality of the coaches.

TCU's defense this year was ranked 119 out of 130 teams and allowed 461.8 ypg.

Texas was ranked 99 allowing 425.6 ypg

That isnt smash mouth and if you say its a down year talent wise for TCU then what exactly do you think he is going to have to work with at Texas?

Yea I know when he had good teams his defense was good but by the numbers THIS YEAR hes being hyped up a little too much.

I think the history of College football is littered with pricks for coaches that seemed like they were headed for greatness at some point , but their inherent "prickedness" eventually rose up to get them tossed. Patterson lasted the longest with Herman lasting the least....Fred Akers was somewhere in the middle.

I would not be joyful with a Patterson hire. Coach K has a better track record in my opinion.

It's been almost a week since sark met with the players. 2 have xferred out, neither of which saw much playing time during their careers here.
