TCU's defense this year was ranked 119 out of 130 teams and allowed 461.8 ypg.

Texas was ranked 99 allowing 425.6 ypg

That isnt smash mouth and if you say its a down year talent wise for TCU then what exactly do you think he is going to have to work with at Texas?

He has probably averaged 30-40 in recruiting.  This year wasn’t his best defense.  Thanks to Bijan we finally beat him.

Ok DMAC let’s keep doing what we’ve been doing.  Maybe it will work out.  I’ve been watching this shit for 12 years.  Patterson is widely thought of as one of the top defensive minds in the country. He has probably averaged 30-40 in recruiting.  This year wasn’t his best defense.  Thanks to Bijan we finally beat him.

It just seems desperate to hype a guy who's defense was worse than ours. Atleast we can point to attrition of 2018 recruiting class and a brand spanking new DC.  Whats his excuse or yours?

Truth but why?  I think Gary lost his team with some of his remarks like "im untouchable" and run in with his players.  Then he smacked down.  I dont really know but thats my perception anyways.  I cant stand the guy.

I’m just sick of watching this shit since 2010 and every other team gets better.  But we brag about how much money we have.  Boy that’s great.  
You can show all the numbers you want……. I watched our defense this year.   just about anyone in the country thinks Gary Patterson is one of the top two or three defensive guys in the country.  I think he could help our defense be better.  We’ll just have to agree to disagree.

For the record, I’m for a Patterson addition and believe that if they can work together, they could do great things at Texas. That said, I’m not convinced either ego will allow it to happen. The mystery of the disappearing thread also makes me wonder if it was all rapidly fading smoke and no real fire. Hope I’m wrong.
