Good question. The NIL will bring up all kinds of new issues of exactly what is and what is not allowed.

Will a booster be able to pay players arbitrary amounts for appearances that take minimal time? Will the boosters be able to reward players based on performance targets?  Unless or until the NCAA spells out exactly what is allowed and what is not we will see all kinds of crazy schemes.

The NCAA is toothless and dead. The courts have ruled that no cartel (read NCAA) should be able to tell you that there is a limit to how much you can make. That was basically what Kavanaugh said in his concurring opinion. If any other business had the NCAAs business model it would be illegal.
