You are right not too many versatile players. However I belive the staff is higher on another TE. Plus is the staff going to run off players who are not even given a chance to show thier skills yet.

Who they sighn is up to them we can only wish and complain. All I know for sure is all the boards are claiming there are more players almost ready to commit thanthere is room for..
They get a chance to show their skills every day at practice.

Yes, they are higher on another tight end, a 5-star from S Carolina. Despite having Flood and Banks on the case, I don't think we get him. So you're back to Boardingham.

I count 10 spots left. A friend who would know says we have 12-15 spots left in this class.

Your friend possibly knows a certain current recruit will not stick and who still might transfer?

I belive Texas sighed 24 last year leaving one space. Lee leaving might open up another not sure. 25 commits a year plus possible 2 = 27. 15 commited already leaving possible 12 spaces. No way can i see 15 spaces, then maybe Sark can figure it out. HookUm.

Sark’s mentor would take all the commitments he could get and then sign the best ones until they ran out of room.
I don’t care for that tactic but maybe Sark does.

Lets all hope Texas never goes this way. First class will tell.

I thought someone mentioned that the UT staff would not accept his commitment at one point.  Maybe I'm remembering wrong.  Don't know why they wouldn't take it.

Did we slowball our way to losing him?
Good player, good kid. But he's a low-ceiling recruit, so we slow-played. Mack didn't slow play.

LB may be the one position where we need to raise the talent level the most. We've had some additions that will help (Thornton), but we need to add some higher-end talent to the room.

We're still very much in play for Perkins and I've heard staff has reason for optimism there.

Didn't a lot of people on this board want Sark's mentor to come to Texas?

I know I did and if I was the AD and Saban walked in today wanting the job I’d hire him on the spot.
I think he’s an arrogant, narcissistic, blow hard with a major Napoleon complex but I bet he’d look awesome in burnt orange.
I know winning is really, really hard but that pecker head sure makes it look easy.
