Yes he an ath. and could play at other positions. However Sanders is much highed ranked and he is onboard.I don't know, ET, isn't Boardingham an athlete who could project to other positions?
IT had an update on Cheeks this morning saying a lot of the same things, especially that there's a sense he wants to be close to home because of his family situation.247 had an update on Cheeks recently saying that one was likely trending towards him staying closer to home since he has a sick family member, so maybe Michigan or Wisconsin.
North Carolina did really well with him after he officially visited Texas.
Living on the edge with CB recruiting. On CB Jaylon Guilbeau of Port Arthur Memorial...IT said this morning he continues to be a soft commitment and even hinted that opening up his recruitment could be close.
They believe this will come down to which program prioritizes him more, and TCU has pushed hard this summer.

Can't be a bad thing to have Perkins talking to other recruits about coming to visit Texas.According to 247, DE Omari Abor of Duncanville will be at the recruiting BBQ at the end of the month.
He's friends with LB Harold Perkins of Cypress Park, who convinced him to attend.

LB Robby Snelling from Reno, NV will go LSU baseball.
I haven't seen anything that he ever had a baseball offer from Texas, and IT said he's back to prioritizing that over football which is why the new staff essentially canceled his official visit. And Texas baseball is chopped liver?
Understand that, but if he's that good a baseball player, why didn't we offer both sports, or did we?I haven't seen anything that he ever had a baseball offer from Texas, and IT said he's back to prioritizing that over football which is why the new staff essentially canceled his official visit.
No offer from Pierce that I know of.Understand that, but if he's that good a baseball player, why didn't we offer both sports, or did we?
He has everything you need for a five-star player. He has lacked the resources for development. But for a starting point, they don't get better than Boardingham. He projects to TE not just because of his size, but because of his hands and athleticism.Yes he an ath. and could play at other positions. However Sanders is much highed ranked and he is onboard.
Plus other players at positions Boardingham can play or ranked highed than him,
Maybe a pipe line to Calif. could be a reason. Spaces will soon be limited so why go for lower ranked players.
I could be totally of course with this, but I kind of get the feeling Texas wouldn't be completely heartbroken if he did open things up. It kind of felt like they were honoring his commitment to the previous staff. Not saying Gilbeau is not talented enough for Texas, I just always felt like they had others in mind. Like I said, I could be reading this completely wrong. I like him as a prospect and hope he stays, but it sounds as though this staff is not making him a top priority. On CB Jaylon Guilbeau of Port Arthur Memorial...IT said this morning he continues to be a soft commitment and even hinted that opening up his recruitment could be close.
