If LSU is ranked #4 and UT is ranked #24, LSU should come to Austin as a big favorite. I would be very happy to have that happen.

Maybe in the FPI but the polls will be quite a bit different. Texas will start much better than 26.

I fully expect the same cockeyed crap we've seen for the last decade. ESPN, AP and all their buddies cram as many SEC schools as they can in the preseason poll so they can assist each other in the polls throughout the season.

That way, most SEC schools can continue to schedule the OOC patsies and lay claim to their worthiness by beating (and in aggy's case, losing to) other SEC schools.

I don't disagree with your point about $EC bias one bit. They beat each other and it's just showing how great they are, but let an OOC team beat them and then they didn't care for one reason or another. But Texas will be top 15 at the start.

at some point the fact that secsecsec teams continue to get punked in the bowls like they have for the last 3 or 4 years, ESPN may finally have to admit to being myopic about them. For the last 3 years combined I think the secsecsec is LAST among power 5 conferences in bowl record. Frankly, without Alabama they might be batting about 300 or so...

Yes, but that was before Fisher graduated to the SEC, which automatically made him a better coach.

quite a resume Jimbo has.....coached a team that was pre season # 3 ranked to a losing record and then quit on the team with 2 games remaining.

You dont have to negative recruit Jimbo on what his philosophy MIGHT be....all you have to do is point out his history

Tom seems so damn nervous at big 12 media days. I really don’t blame him though. Lot of eyes on him. 

I thought that once after watching a post game conference his first year, but then realized he is always like that. He may be one of those guys who gets really jacked up on Red Bull. Either way it seemed more like nervous energy than nerves.

I can agree to that. Was just different then say a mike gundy up there lol he was def shaking like a leaf when asked about baker/Bradshaw comments. But after last year when people were ready to burn him on the stake for his answer about “how many championship levels players are on the team” I really don’t blame him. Ears and eyes are always on Texas.
