We beat Kansas tonight. Not much excitement here over the win.

I don't know what shape we're in for the tournament. But we do have nice wins over ranked NC and now KU.

This team is athletic enough to beat anybody and shoot poorly enough to lose to anybody.

I don’t know if Shaka will be back or not but the above sentence has pretty much been the theme of his time here.

Talent is not the problem with this team, it comes down to coaching. Shaka isn’t that great at making mid game adjustments.

we could be a team to fear with the right coach. Time to find someone else.

And the last few years of Barnes.

We are squarely on the bubble. Need to finish conference with at least 10 wins.

Watching Texas play KU and seeing numerous empty seats on the lower level. At tip-off it looked like about 1/3 were empty but most filled in. Maybe 85% full near the court for KU.

If Delconte is serious about the atmosphere for basketball, not only will he follow through with a 10K seat arena, but he will strip most of the seats away from the BMDs and make them available to students.

Maybe I'm naive with those sentiments.
I've been saying that for years decades.

Sorry to make excuses, but a 6:00 p.m. tipoff definitely led to some empty seats at the beginning of the game. Both my buddy and I fought traffic the entire way and missed the first 10 minutes of the game.

As for the team, at least right now, they're expected to make the tournament since there are so many bad teams this season. In addition to the wins already discussed, OU was ranked when we beat them and the Purdue win is looking really good right now.

Love the win against KU, but it easily wasn't as close as the final score. We dominated most of that game and should've won by 15-20 points. We let them hang around due to poor decisions and turnovers. Like I said in the Shaka thread though, they shut us up for the night and I'm glad they had something to celebrate. Let's see what happens in Ames on Saturday though.

Attendance was just shy of 12K.

In the newly proposed arena, it would be standing room only and a raucous environment.
I’m North  of 50 so in a way this is hard to say.  If you want a raucous environment, you must  not let so many BMDs sit close to the floor. I have seen people looking at their laptops throughout games.

I too am north of 50 and I agree that having the more enthusiastic students close to the action promotes a more intense crowd.

But fill a 10-12K seat arena for a competitive game and it will be lit.

I am past my prime and I just want a well coached team. When I see it I will buy a round for my man cave.

I was at the Tech game.  Probably close to a sellout, but it honestly seemed like 40% were Tech fans.... MANY in the arena seats.
