Before we bag on aggy, they had a great year for year 1 under a new coach. Their OLine was pretty damn good. RB leads the SEC in rushing. QB is all over the map and they still go 9-4. I hate aggy as much as anyone, but they had a pretty good year. Jimbo even managed to get something out of Mack. They lose a lot of guys, but guessing they go 8-4 or 7-5 as usual, but they will be better than under Sumlin. Country club mentality and swag crap is finally gone. I'd like to play them and settle it on the field once again, and once again we kick their ass.

Agree.......except never, ever , play them again.

Clemson is in South Carolina...  ;)

but real talk. I hat how much we talk about Aggy on this board. F them. Not worth the time of day. Us talking about them is exactly what they want.
You're right, my bad. I guess I look at Clemson as an SEC school sometimes.

What if we play A&M in next years semi-final? Good lord have mercy that would be a trip.

Let's be clear I wish them no fun whatsoever. They exist to be constantly melting down, exposed to mockery and suffering terribly by comparison. But I believe there would be some hype for that match up.

if Texas makes the semi-final next year, A&M will have a full melt down. A&M won't make the play-offs next year. They don't have the QB to take them that far.

As long as aggy sits in a division of a conference with Bama, LSU and Auburn, they won't make the playoffs. And even if they did, Georgia-Florida await.

Aggy loses their top LB, two of the top DL and I think the TE is declaring. So they will have some rebuilding/reshuffling to do.

Aren't they losing their RB as well?

Yep, I think so. They've got some talent in the wings, especially along the OL. Its just a matter of whether it develops or not.

Yeah, I guess I saw one of their pre-season rankings in the top ten I think and starting thinking about it. I doubt they win 9 games.

I'm just curious about something..is it just me or is something floating in the air where there's so many getting out of dodge so fast there head could spin for the NFL.. Lord have mercy..I've never seen so many getting out of dodge in one sitting.

I saw on Twitter that Doc hinted Shane was staying here to be trained to be a QB coach. Has anyone else heard this?

Rising is visiting Utah this weekend. I think he's most likely to leave and we'll keep Thompson.

I'm fine with that. I think Thompson is the underrated of the two and fits Herman's style a little better.

Pretty sure Utah just lost a QB because he was beat out for the job so that would be a weird fit for Rising.

Their starter is coming back for this season, but he has to sit a year anyways. Everybody's saying he'd be on track to compete for a starting job in 2020, but he'd be able to do that here too.

I think Sam will stick for his senior year at Texas, so compete in 2020? Maybe. But he'll be hard to displace unless he can't deliver like he did this year.

2021 will most likely be the year for the next QB up.
