The Big 12 Conference announced its end of the season awards and All-Conference teams Tuesday morning, and it is no surprise Texas had multiple players recognized.

Texas 2B Kody Clemens took home Big 12 Conference Player of the Year and David Pierce was named Big 12 Coach of the Year. Clemens, who was recently named a Golden Spikes Award Semi-Finalist, finished the regular season hitting .344 with 19 home runs and 61 RBI's. Pierce guided the Longhorns to their first Big 12 Title since 2011.

3 Longhorns received First Team All-Big Honors: 2B Kody Clemens, OF Duke Ellis and DH Zach Zubia

RHP Andy McGuire, SS David Hamilton and RHP Blair Henley took home Second Team All-Big Honors

RHP Parker Joe Robinson was named the Honorable Mention All-Big 12 Team.

Zubia and RHP Kamron Fields were also named to the All-Big 12 Freshman team.

The POY & COY were easy calls. Call me a homer but David Hamilton should have been 1st team.

Congratulations to all of them. What an achievement. And still, more to come . . .

Conference averages were not high enough.
What about fielding percentage, clutch hits/HRs? I really thought he turned it on the 2nd half of the season, which included mostly conference games. Guess I'm just a homer then.

I don’t disagree, but the coaches that vote on this didn’t see it the same way
