What's the point of trying to start an argument with me? I'm just a deaf dumb and blind old guy.@Bear19 What’s the point of trying to instigate an argument over a kid that we missed out on
I see what you’re trying to do, I’m not gonna play your little gameWhat's the point of trying to start an argument with me? I'm just a deaf dumb and blind old guy.
OK fair enough on that last exchange. But I still stand on what I said.I was looking at the latter part of my statement. That’s on me. Point taken and I will relent on that.
With that said I still stand by my comment that started this exchange and with what I provided to you after. You don’t have to buy what I’m selling, but it is what it is.
You don’t need to speak directly with a head coach to source info in this business. If you are able to have that source then you are blessed, but more times than none that isn’t happening.OK fair enough on that last exchange. But I still stand on what I said.
Did Herman tell you he knew he had no shot at the out-of-state linebackers but was going to take it anyway?
Did Herman tell you that he knew White was in the bag no matter how long he waited to offer?
If the answer to those questions is no then you are making an assumption. It's your opinion and I'm fine with that. I just object to you or anyone calling it arrogance. But I'm going to let it go.
We are all thankful you're letting it go.OK fair enough on that last exchange. But I still stand on what I said.

You're welcome. We are all thankful you're letting it go.
Dang, SHA, you really know how to take the sting out of losing a recruit. Are there any more we could let go and still not hurt our class?

I'd look at Newton's Corbin Foster. 4.0 GPA, aims to be a doctor, 1st Team All-State, Defensive MVP of state title game (that Newton won), and was a state leader in tackles at 240.So, who does Texas look at now for LB? I assume they'll still recruit White.

He may be 3A, but I'd still look at him. 6' 220, is patient, does not overrun pursuit, has good angles, and can wrap up.
I know Newton is not a top school academically. My sister (a retired teacher there) knows his parents and talks about his solid family background and unified effort in his life as both student and athlete. The kid is grounded.
I would not like to see him end up at Baylor or A&M. If he can handle the academics, I'd sure give him a look.

Going to have to see how they recalibrate at this point. This late in the cycle options are looking grim and I’m not sure there was a contingency plan in place. So, who does Texas look at now for LB? I assume they'll still recruit White.
Agree. Its really too late to jump in on somebody new and with no previous relationship.Going to have to see how they recalibrate at this point. This late in the cycle options are looking grim and I’m not sure there was a contingency plan in place.
Agreed. They may just decide to allocate the scholarship elsewhere and see about the crop next year at this point.Agree. Its really too late to jump in on somebody new and with no previous relationship.
You might kick the tires on some others you've recruited, just to see if they're still happy with their decision. But there won't be many of those around after NSD-1.
IMO, at this point you focus on your remaining targets, regardless of position. I'm not sure we lead for anybody right now and that needs to change if we're to fill this class.
