Is Coach Strong In Trouble??

How many of those past coaches did Patterson hire? In case you forgot or were taking a nap, one of the problems we had with Patterson is that he didn't give a shit how Texas had done things in the past.

LOL

When this is over, I want to return to you and ask . . . Did the repeating things over and over do anything to affect reality? I mean, this is straight out of the Clinton playbook.

I don't know whether Strong had an affair or not. But to suggest that whoever believes that is deserving of some insult from you is about as juvenile as it gets.
Fools run with assumptions.  Like I said....Anyone who says they "know" he had an affair is full of shit.  Where is my parrot.

But, hey... Now you can run with whatever you want.  The divorce has been settled.  Which I also said would take place and nothing would come of this.

The sad part about this divorce fiasco is Strongs family has to suffer through it and a stigma has been placed on his reputation - even though he has been convicted of nothing.

Opposing coaches will run with it in their negative recruiting and blogs, like this one, will have those that dislike Charlie constantly beating the drum of "Well, the case was settled, but we know he cheated".

You can trust me on this as well.

Sadly you're correct. Even a  lot of so called UT fans bought into this narrative.

Too soon? Ok..

So some so called  sources who said he did  are  FOS at best or a f*** liar as worst.
Oh, I wouldn't say it was that extreme.  They simply could have been misinformed or the filtration of the facts skewed the message..

Remember the old "Pass the word " game?  Whereby you line 10 people up in a row and whisper to the first person something like "Your mother is a good cook"?  It is whispered to the next person, on down the line and, by the time it reaches the 10th person, it has become "Mothers are good hookers".

This happens all the time on the net - especially by mods that are trying for the scoop.

Fair enough. I respect your post and clarity on the entire issue Doc.

It is a shame, but a reality of human nature for those looking for something to pounce on.

Like I said on page one: "Perception, right or wrong, can be a hard thing to change."

Doc, I do feel for the Strongs.  However, I am not the least concerned about opposing coaches using this to negatively recruit.  When they do it makes them look dirty.  Negative recruiting backfired against aggy this past year.  Stoops has Mixon, Briles has Outside the Lines and Rape U, and Sumlin is stumblin.  All of their dirty laundry is out in the open.  Strong has way too much class to share the details of this situation in public.  However, I am sure that all the parents of his recruits know that what is being rumored by opposing coaches and fan site "reporters" is not close to being true.  It makes Strong that much more likeable and classy when he refuses to talk about other teams.

Win some games this fall and everyone will forget about it. Kind of sorry buts that's the way it is.

Also Tenn is about to really get bad, there's a lot of skeletons in that closet about to come out. I have a gut feeling that one is going to be bad. Straight out of Baylor's playbook.

Agree 100%

I like Strong's recruiting approach - sell TEXAS. Let the wannabes sling mud at CFS and the Horns. It just makes 'em look petty and weak. Ask aggy
