No, they don't live in houses. They live in a variety of ways. We have found caves where yes, it seems to have been dwelled in before and we've also found what we think are "nests." 

The above photo was taken in remote Utah and as you can see, is not a naturally occurring phenomena. This was made.

Caves like the ones above are common where they exist. SE Oklahoma has literally thousands of these caves in the Ouachita Mtns, some have never been seen by man before.

JB, this has always been my problem with these photos.  They are ALWAYS obscure and indistinct.  Hell, even todays cell phones take better photos.

My other problem is the stealth of these humongous "creatures".  For centuries they have remained unfound - no bones, babies, droppings, food remains, carcasses, living areas, etc.

The stealth of these so called huge creatures is beyond incredible.  Except, of course, for the obscure and indistinct photos.

Now I HAVE heard an interesting theory - with religious connotations and disputing Darwins basic theory.

The old saw of man descending from apes has always been disputed by saying "If man descended from apes, why are there still apes?".

Bigfoot gives the theorists the opportunity to say he is actually a pithecanthropus erectus (early man or cave man) and therefore disproving that they were ancestors of modern day humans.  Thus giving credence to the Bibles genesis.

Have to say I've never heard of a squatch camp fire. lol

They eat their meat raw. We know this because we find deer with the hind legs snapped in half and their insides removed. Only the insides. The meaty backstrap and front/hind quarters are left intact except for the leg breaks. They disable the deer first, then slice them open at the gut. Apparently, the love the liver and other organs.

A hunter would never do this. A coyote would eat the innards, but the meat as well, almost cleaning the deer.

They also feed on berries and wild fruit. SE Oklahoma is the only place in America where peaches grow wild.

SHA - here is the thing.  In my life, I have learned, even in my field of expertise, there are things and events that are unexplainable.  So I will never discount the possibility of a "Bigfoot" existence.  Or a UFO, for that matter.  So, even though this creature has historically NEVER been found, killed or captured or the odds of a UFO visiting earth are mathematically infinitesimal, I cannot discount they COULD exist.

But I have, also, learned that humans are quick to label things and events that are unexplainable - most of the time incorrectly, I might add. 

A classic example of this is your photo of a "nest".  Your conclusion is that it belonged to a Bigfoot - with no evidence this is actually the case - because you believe such a creature exists.  And because you believe this, you are ready to believe that sounds, obscure photos and hearsay from others is absolute proof that this creature exists. 

You don't question the lack of a clear photo - even in today's technically advanced cameras - because this would throw doubt on your belief they exist.

Instead you choose to believe that "nests", footprints, hairs, sounds, obscure photos, hearsay and "experts" inability to confirm this "evidence" as something other than a Bigfoot, as irrefutable evidence they DO exist.

In other words, you are not a cynic like I am.
