Is the OB War room announcement true?

This part got deleted from his post. . . .

"Keep an eye on events in austin tomorrow. There could be another big piece of the puzzle coming into play."

This is related to Daylon Mack scheduling a visit to Austin, which will happen. One of my friends told me two days ago this would happen, but it seemed so unlikely I said nothing. Now, I do think it will.

You're right Mark. Ketchum had that posted and said he took it down because his source asked him to take it down. But I believe what you say (about Mack)

Ketch most certainly let it all hang out there on this, especially considering that Chip is no longer there to blame.

He is definitely standing by his guns.

I tell you this they are crazy over there and plenty of the BS that made this place my home, but they always did decent on recruiting.

I posted a link to the Kai Locksley article here on HS on OB and within seconds the traffic shot through the roof.

247 debunks a Murray press conference.  Cites a source "incredibly close to the situation" that says it's not true.

Back when I was on OB, the War Room info was not to be discussed on other boards. When did that change?

if mack is indeed visiting austin this weekend, then he would have some insight into what is transpiring with murray.  i would venture to guess that they've been communicating since murray's visit.

what else could explain him visiting austin after he dropped the OV last week????

Discussed how? I think the War Room info has always been discussed elsewhere, it is just common courtesy not to copy/paste the thing and put it on another site.

I'm about as skeptical as anyone out there and have never fawned over Geoff Ketchum. But the whole War Room thing last night was one of the most fun things I've read in quite a long time.

I look at recruiting boards as a source of entertainment. Pure entertainment....and not much more. I'm not going into a state of despair if it turns out that Murray sticks with aggie. But what Ketchum put out last night was fun. Perhaps words can't describe....you had to be there...and if you weren't, you missed a good time. :)

So, am I to believe the EPIC War Room news did not occur last night, as promised?

I'm betting there were many excuses, if not?

  smh

I'm not sure I follow Doc.  The news was pretty good, and includes most of what you're hearing discussed today.  I suppose it depends on what your definition of EPIC is.

Your comments on this subject continue to sound like you have a bone to pick with OBs.  I'm just not sure what the real issue is.

I understood that site made the announcement that some kind of earth shaking and epic news would be revealed last night.  I could have been wrong about this, but that is what I understood.

If it was true, I suspect the news was to announce some kind of major announcement next week, but that news has had the kebosh put on it.

Anyway, like you said, nothing epic occurred and the news was not really news after all.

Nah, I've got nothing against OB, other than what I have already said.  But, once again, I'm not sure about the validity of the "epic" announcement anyway.

Agree, it was indeed a fun read. However, the impact on the reader is yet to complete. IF a press conference is held, GK looks like a genius and a very connected guy. Up to now, no one that I know of has ever thought of him as being connected.

That's the first war room I've read in YEARS and really never thought it was worth copying and pasting anywhere else. But last night's was a doozie.

We'll know in a week what his fate will be.

It's now an INFO BATTLE between GK and Burton. One says yes it happens. The other says no way. We will see.

So, SHL, tell me - was I mistaken?  Didn't that site announce that something "epic" was going to happen in the war room last night?

Go sign up over there Doc, since you seem so set at "proving" there was some type of internet injustice done.  I'm sure they have some sort of free trial or something.

Why are you so hung up on this?  Let it go.  It's really not that big of a deal.  You're on HS.  There is plenty of great recruiting news here to be discussing.  Everything discussed over there has been touched upon right here.

Doc....I'm no particular fan of OB. I've been off and on the board since it opened its doors...seen every thing there is to see. Regarding your question if there was a pre-announcement that there would be something "epic"...not anything that I was aware of.

Perhaps the word epic was used somewhere..I don't know. But I do know that, as a general rule, if a board over-hypes some event that is forth-coming and then fails to deliver on the hype...there is hell to pay.

That was not the case last night...not even close. The comments I read ran at least 10 to 1 in favor of last night's war room being the best they had read in the last 5 or 6 years. And I agree. The patrons came away extremely pleased last night.
