DB Sheldrick Redwine committed to Louisville.

He had Texas in his final 3 but realized we were running out of spots

Regarding the QB rumor from Blake Munroe (above^)

El mahico says that "This would be a very compelling player that was heavily recruited."
Man what the hell are we playing, 21 questions? Ok I'll play..

1. What year did the kid come out of high school?

From Mahico:

"If the new mystery player actually makes it on campus for a visit it would change the course of the 2015 season imo."

just to be clear, I have not heard that Heard has struggled in the passing game, only with a few things like the timing routs. Stuff all young QBs struggle with at first. He has actually looked pretty good for a true freshman from what I have heard.

In any event, Texas needs more competition and by the sounds of it things are moving very quickly in that department. I said it before in this thread, but if the news I heard about a possible new name surfacing is accurate and actually comes to pass it would change the course of the 2015 season. This would be in addition to the KL developments. I asked if Texas would take both of these guys if they had the chance and was told yes. To summarize, this would be Texas taking another HS QB/ATH and a short term player.

Long way to go with both and there are still other options for Texas with yet another transfer reaching out today. Stay tuned.

TD, there are so many dates, recruits, positions, and rumors, I feel like someone needs to be updating an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of everything!

Hey, what about Max Witek? Isn't he still available?

I accept the challenge, I'll hawk the interwebs for the next 4 hours.

SHA what HS class was he part of?

I've seen a list. It's lengthy and includes Connor Brewer, former Longhorn.

My mind goes to Ohio State. There's a serious logjam there with serious quality.

Charlie has called Urban to get advise on the QB situation. So who knows?

The mystery recruit would have to be a senior or red shirt junior that has graduated if this qb is going to come in and play immediately correct? So we are looking at what, 2011-2012 classes?

Is Charlie trying to make a trade with Urban? We will send Ron McKelvey and a player to be named later to Columbus for Braxton Miller.

Or it would have to be a school that just changed coaches and that QB could transfer without sitting out as long as the school he is transferring from didn't block it. I believe that is correct. Its a very long list of possibilities to say the least

I can think of only 1 name that will change the course of the 2015 season and that is Braxton Miller.  He graduated in December and would meet the requirements as a graduate student.

He would not have to sit out a year either.  If Strong pulls this off, Texas will be the talk of college football.

According to most recruiting websites max wittick and Braxton miller didn't receive an offer from Watson while he was at Louisville, crazy but maybe he just knew he didn't stand a chance. The only person that was a 4star rivals recruit that committed to a current top 25 ranked team (Michigan state) that also received an offer from Watson appears to be gunner Kiel. But I have no clue where mr kiel is now and if he has eligibility left that can transfer without sitting a year.
