Advocare Texas Bowl: Texas vs. Arkansas

And who let the aggy in?

We need one of those buttons Dr. Evil has, drop him in the shark tank

Swoopes is horrible, but Strong made the right move. No way in hell we should burn Heard's RS tonight.
Not tonight, it should have happened after a game like BYU when it was clear that Swoopes wasn't a D1 QB. There are way too many schools that bring in their backup QB and barely miss a beat. When it was obvious to see what Swoopes was, Heard's red-shirt should have been pulled and the offense simplified.

There will be zero accountability when it comes to the coaching staff. No offensive development, poor schemes, a total failure of special teams all season. And that is just for starters. Plenty of failures on the part of the coaching staff, but because people are willing to make excuses and blame everything on the players, those problems will still define the program next year.
I have to agree but if this shit show continues next year Charlie will be in trouble. He gambled by not starting Heard mid season. Swoopes has gotten worse as the year has progressed. The OL is terrible and still no communicating at all 12 games later.

You are not Mother Luv. Just pour another glass and sit back with some Hobbit II, the Desolation of Smaug.

Take solace in the idea that you're probably wrong on all of the above, the sun will shine again, and Charlie will produce a national champion while he's at Texas.

My God put in the f##king walk on qb. Show some balls Charlie leaving Swoopes in is just terrible.

Swoopes follows that up by underthrowing another receiver open for a TD

His last pass ever as UT QB

Heard would have never made it with this OL. He is accustomed to making things happen, not taking the safe way out or intentionally misreading the zone read just so he doesn't have to carry the ball.

We saved him about a half year of rehab, IMO.

Well crap. Swoopes misses a wide open WR & then under throws one badly for an INT. I have an early tee-time tomorrow so while I'll watch the gane, I'm puting down the laptop.

HOOK'EM!

Studdard - "why not try" referring to the OL

I don't get it. How are you forced to commit a penalty in a double team on a DT? And how are you assuming that wasn't the intended block?

The team you're dissing shut out Ole Miss and LSU.

Never seen someone diss both teams in the same post, but ok.

The team is performing poorly, especially offensively. But I think the better question here is why did you think that suddenly this OL would be good and Swoopes would somehow become a different QB? That's on you, not Charlie.

Nevertheless, I seriously doubt Charlie avoids accountability. I've never seen him do that before and have no idea why you pulled that out.

Swoopes isn't a QB. At least half the OL isn't D1 OL. You can't develop what isn't there and these are the bottom of the barrel.

But hey, don't let me stop you from your coronary.
The play was a quick out to the right flat. How in God's name did the left guard get the impression he was to block down on the DT?! If the center identifies his responsibility as the DT, why in game 13 did the left guard believe his responsibility was the DT?! How is the line developing as a group if they are still making mistakes at that level in game 13?!

Any team playing this badly in all phases of the game in game 13 against a 6-6 team is just poorly coached. If there is no accountability at the coaching level, the problems from this season will carry over to next year.

Being humiliated by a 6-6 team just can't be rationalized as anything other than utter failure.

Let's walk before we run. Let's shoot for a winning record and not getting humiliated by a 6-6 team in a bowl.

Duke, this is where our conversation ends, unless you choose to carry on by yourself.

Centers do not block DTs. They will be assigned backside responsibility, but that could be anyone, not specifically the DT.

I'm not sure you understand the topic and I'm not confident in my ability to explain. Have a good evening my friend.

First time in the history of the program we've had 5 losses of 20+ points in one season.
