What a truly disgusting game.  I played QB in Elem. & Jr. High, I could have played better at QB than Swoopes tonight, seriously... OL sucked, very little Daje , no Shipley, RB's could not get any blocks. Duke, seriously dude.  Defense made a lot of mistakes but hung in there....

So much did not work and needs to be fixed CS. I don't envy you.

 That is why I thought Charlie might consider the Florida job if they came after him. He is starting from scratch next year.

I believe we need to back away from the keyboard before we go all aggy. There have been some good moments. We have some recruiting momentum. We need to move on and support the other sports and look forward to signing day. How long til first pitch?

As disappointed and frustrated as I am, this may take 2 more years before we see consistent winning again. Anyone but Swoopes. Next year. Get rid of the players that just don't try. They are scholarship players and we can find walk on that could do better than that shit we saw tonight.

It's the ones we didn't see play tonight that probably benefitted more, in my opinion.

Guys, what we knew going in:

1. Arkansas was a bad match up for us. It's why the SEC chose this match up.

2. Our offense was sputtering to a stop. Nothing would change our OL or QB in two weeks time.

3. Our defense cannot withstand our offense. One kills the other.

Frankly, I'm glad Akie didn't run it up, as they could have. I almost wish we didn't play this game and received a better match up in another bowl.

I will also point out that most of you would be too mad to type if Mack Brown were here and was clapping through the 4th qtr. That post game would have been full of "Give them credit"

Watching the post game PC, I saw Charlie take full responsibility, just like always. He was mad. Very mad. I thought he held it together very well though.

Yep, which is why I've always been a fan of the Strong hire. This was always going to be a process. The fact that we have 6 OL that can actually play and a TE playing QB, pretty much tells you this is a rebuild. This is much like Strong's tenure at Louisville. Improvement each year and take baby steps each year. 8-4 next year and we are right on track where I expect us to be.

Guys better be ready by spring

CFS went 7-6 his first two years at Louisville.

Barring world-beater play at QB next year from Jerrod Heard, we can expect another disappointing season. It's gonna take patience and time, but we've gotta see better play on offense.

I think Jerrod Heard is a major upgrade over Swoopes. Heard is really a QB. Heard can run or throw and from my time watching him, works very well under pressure. Zach Gentry as a back up along with the Merrick kid. Two other QBs in play for this class so we'll see how this plays out.

The OL returns two injured players and Harrison (whom I've heard should be back). I expect a larger and more polished Raulerson. Redshirt OL will be available as will be a couple of the incoming frosh. There is much hope here.

You heard Charlie say it after the game. We need playmakers. Catalon, Gray, perhaps a real TE receiving threat again, a WR who can stretch the field and another who can catches things in the stratosphere.

Then there's the attitude and toughness injected by some of the Florida boys.

It sucks to lose to Arkie, but this dog is now dead, I'm heading to the recruiting thread.

Guys, sorry I went a little aggy on this thread last night, I had not been that pissed off after a UT loss in a long time.... plus Diggs tweeted that some guys don't deserve to be wearing the uniform, etc.   Just was too much to stomach.
