  1. Yes-SEC
  2. No-SEC
  3. Yes-Not SEC
  4. Drop to 16
  5. Yes-Although SEC, this will be the pollster's way of 'proving' there's no SEC bias
  6. Drop to 19
And LSU gets back into the poll.

I had witty responses and then realized you are talking Coaches' Poll. I'll withhold snarky comments for the AP junk poll.

I was pretty close. Lol.

So Aggy is still ranked when their best win is against a 3-3 South Carolina team, while they've been blown out in the two real games they've played. Makes a lot of sense.

After they get their ass kicked at Alabama next week they will say good bye to the rankings

How weird is it to see Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Baylor in the top 5? That's why college football is so great, it's unpredictable.

I will say that I thought both Ole Miss and Mississippi State were going to be good teams this year. In the preseason I even said I wouldn't be surprised if one of the Miss. schools challenges for the West.

"There's the AFC, the NFC, and the SEC. Then everybody else." I actually heard an announcer say that the other day during a game. SO stupid.

Ole Miss had a pretty incredible recruiting class a couple years ago. It's showing up big time now.

Personally, I like seeing new faces in the top 5/10. Makes things interesting and you gotta feel good for both those Mississippi schools. They've been kicked around in the SEC for so long.

Ole Miss has been a pretty good team for a couple years, they are now just figuring out how to win games. The last two years they should have beaten Aggy, but hadn't figured out how to close out games.

Actually, Ole Miss reminds me a lot of the Longhorns and Arkansas right now. Texas has been good enough to win games against UCLA and Oklahoma. Other then the BYU game I really don't think we've played horribly. Just some bad mistakes at timely situations and inconsistent play from some younger guys at certain positions. If you watch Ole Miss from a couple years ago there are a lot of parallels.  The same for Arkansas. Bielema will have that team challenging for the West in a couple years. They are a pretty good team but haven't figured out how to win.

I think a lot of people get caught up entirely too much in records for "developing" teams. I knew a couple years ago Ole Miss and Miss. State were going to be pretty good teams based on the product on the field. I think the comparison between Arkansas and A&M is a very good example of how records are sometimes deceiving. Arkansas looks worse in terms of the record, but I bet in two years Arkansas will be a better team from what I've seen on the field. Records aren't always indicative of how a team is progressing. It's why I never bought the A&M hype even after the SC game. Their offense and defense have regressed since game 1 even though they won games. Unless you have multiple recruiting classes like Bama, winning is a process in the long-term. You have to progress game to game (even if that may conflict with winning games in the short-term).

The rise of Miss St and Ole Miss signifies the fall of the rest of the division... I can be happy with that. Not only do both of those teams look good Bama LSU and the rest also look terrible.
