Jim Schlossnagle and the Texas Baseball program received some good news on Wednesday when former Ole Miss pitcher Grayson Saunier announced his decision to transfer to the Longhorns. Saunier, a 6-4, 210 lb. native of Memphis, Tennessee, started 12 games for the Rebels as a freshman and tallied a 6.45 ERA in 46 innings pitched. As a sophmore he started 10 games and registered a 5.64 ERA in 44.2 innings on the mound.
64 Analytics had Sauiner ranked as the #18 player in the transfer portal. With his acquisition, the Longhorns add a solid arm to the rotation and a player with starting pitching experience in the SEC.
